We had the most incredible time at the Homestead. The location could not have been more beautiful and Andy was an amazing host. We loved it so much we extended our trip and stayed an extra night. We can’t wait to come back!
Andy was great and actually upgraded us to the LazyBean cabin when he found out it was my husbands bday. Beautiful tranquil setting with Deer, geese and cranes.the cabin is nicely appointed with comfy beds and a mishmash of tasteful antiques. Andy is pet friendly ( just pick up the poo) which we enjoyed. Books galore!!! We sat and read Robert Frost poems both nights. We will be recommending any of his properties and we will be back!!! Gorgeous views of the snow covered missions and the Bob!
This entire stay seemed magical. We booked last minute for a quick getaway with the kids and dog and it was better then we even could have hoped. Andy keeps a beautiful cabin with all the amenities but also character and history to boost! There are other cabins on the property but you are far away and excluded and private. Great walking trails and playing in the pond out the front door, lots of wildlife, saw The Great Grey Owl and deers everywhere. And then Holland Lake is barely 10 minutes away for a beautiful hike to the falls, and a perfect grocery store / grill not five minutes away. This stay was great, a real jewel, thank you Andy!
We had a wonderful stay with our family! We especially enjoyed the scenery and trails throughout the property. This is a perfect pick for a quiet weekend away.
Andy, the host, is one of the coolest guys I have met. He was so welcoming, accommodating, and super down to earth. The cabin that we got (The Lazy Bean) is the most rustic, feel at "Grandmas House" atmosphere. I have not felt more comfortable in a weekend get-a-way cabin. We will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful stay! Andy was very friendly and showed us around the ranch. Our kids loved the upstairs, and it was great to bring our dog. Beautiful location and views. Very quiet.
The cabin was very dusty, which immediately triggered allergies. However our plan was to be outdoors so I was ignoring it. The tipping point was when, at 10:30pm we were ready for bed, exhausted, and I was cuddling with my son in one of the beds, and he noticed some small black things. It turned out that there were rodent droppings everywhere! On the beds, even under the covers, on the floor, under the bed, by the windows, in the bathroom. Hard not to freak out! Due to both safety and health concerns, we left immediately, in the dark, having to desperately find another place to spend the night. The host apologized later on, but by that point our weekend was ruined unfortunately.
This historic cabin is beautifully placed in the swan valley with mission mountains providing a fantastic view. Andy was a wonderful host very helpful but not intrusive.
We enjoyed our stay at the Homestead. It is possibly the only place I have stayed that had enough pillows. Location is perfection and we hope to return in the warmer months to explore the area.
