Elm Lodge is perfectly located only 150 metres from the town centre of beautiful Bright in Victorias High Country. Elm Lodge has six self contained units, perfect for couples or families, with your choice of studio, one, or two bedroom units. For families we have our two bedroom rooms which can sleep up to 6 guests, and rooms 3 and 4 which can be interconnecting, together sleeping up to 6 guests. For larger groups the whole property can accommodate up to 25 guests.
The large barbeque area, with large gas barbeque, tables and chairs, at the back of the units surrounded by beautiful gardens is the perfect way to relax and enjoy the tranquil beauty of Bright at the end of a days adventuring. Bike washing facilities and storage are available for mountain bike enthusiasts. Free off street parking in from of each unit and free guest laundry available including washer and dryer.

We like the small cosy place at Elm Lodge, and it is very close to shops and Woolworths. Host was very prompt in communicating check-in instructions. However there were a few things which would have made it a more enjoyable stay- First, there is no kitchen exhaust so be careful not to cook anything too strong otherwise you can get charged extra. The washer and dryer specified in the listing is abit misleading because they are prepay machines in the common area and not part of the rental so make sure you bring your $1 coins. Second, there are no bin bags provided(not even 1 since we’re staying just two nights) so make sure you bring your own bin bags. Thirdly we are a family of 5 but only two towels was provided, thankfully we brought our own so make sure you bring your own towel too. Overall I wouldn’t recommend for a family with more than 1 young children but would be easy for adults or older kids as you can always eat out. Love the laminate flooring in the bathroom so it’s not slippery when you’re out of the shower but the whole place is seen to be quite dated and weary, so it desperately needs some TLC. I would suggest amending the listing to actually specify coin washer and dryer so renters like us knows what to expect when we arrive.

Cute and amazing little cottage

This place was awesome. Right in the Britght town with walking distance to everything. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The heated blanket and the heaters were on spot. We have a cozy stay for 5. The host was great. Communication through stayz did not work and we didn't get any reply, but the host messaged us on the process to get in and it was easy. Overall a perfect stay at a perfect location.

Perfect for a short stay holiday

Lovely little cottage with an old world feel, perfectly positioned in the centre of Bright. I love the gardens and feeling of seclusion with this property. It has everything you need.

Excellent location and lovely setting

Beautiful old unit, was small but perfect for our base in Bright. Right in town but peaceful and relaxing. We would love to stay here again

Clean, central and great beds!

We had a good stay at Elm Lodge Unit 2. Cold at night in the kitchen and bathroom, but cozy warm in the living room. Electric blankets worked very well to warm up the beds for a great night sleep. Quiet place, great location! We did miss not having a proper table to eat. We decided to go out for dinner in town instead and have been lucky to get a spot, as it was the Autumn Festival that weekend.
