Great stay in Autun

Big unit with all conveniences. Very close to all attractions in the old city and also trails on the outskirts. Hostess was great, met at the entrance of the parking, lots of good recommendations. Highly recommended. Didn’t do a winery tour but VRBO is requiring me to comment on one. If it affects the rating it shouldn’t. This was top notch.

A wonderful stay

A very warm welcome from my host and her son, Thomas. The accommodation was very clean, warm and comfortable with lovely view up to the cathedral from the bathroom. It is charming and very handy for exploring and enjoying Autun which is a beautiful town. I enjoyed my stay very much, and I appreciated Thomas giving me a lift back to the station to catch a bus on the last day.

Great central location for exploring the area

Having often passed through the area on our way to or from holiday locations further south we decided to spend a couple of days looking around. The gîte was perfect for that, centrally located in Autun, well equipped and very efficient and friendly communication from Chantal and her son.

A Welcoming Property

We were met, as planned, by the owner & her son, who was most helpful as our French is not what it should be! A good-sized garage with automatic doors is a godsend as parking is at a premium in the city. Spotlessly clean and bright, with a well-equipped kitchen, the apartment was more than comfortable. A light-filled bathroom, with shower over bath = & a lovely view of the cathedral tower (200 metres up the hill) as a bonus! Good bed & bedding, if a little low for older bones, like mine, but to real problem. Ideally suited to a couple or a family of 4 (2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom). A covered corridor from the garage to the apartment, with a short staircase to the front door. If travelling by car, strongly recommend a visit to Fontenay Abbey, about 90 minute drive north. Truly worth the effort. No hesitation in personally recommending this property.

Calme et sérénité

Nickel pour les amateurs de vestiges Gallo-romain et de chateaux médiévaux. De plus chaques sites offrent un cadre propices aux balades et randonnées. Sans oublier la Gastronomie: Charolais sauce époisse, accompagné de vin de Bourgogne 😋. Bref tout y est.

Ungenaue Beschreibung

Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Allerdings wird in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnt, dass das zweite Schlafzimmer ein fensterloser Durchgangsraum ins Bad ist. Da ich mit einer Freundin unterwegs war und wir 2 Schlafzimmer brauchen, waren meine Nächte entsprechend schlecht. Die Lage der Wohnung ist schön, die Garage Gold wert.

Schöne , kleine Altstadtwohnung, alles drin und alles dran

Alles was man für einen Urlaub braucht ist da. Eine nette Vermieterin, eine kleine Wohnung mit allem was gebraucht wird, ruhig aber zentral. Die Innenstadt ist quasi um die Ecke. Super Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Einzig, um in das Bad/Toilette zu gelangen , muss man immer durch mindestens ein Schlafzimmer. Wir hatten einen tollen erlebnisreichen Urlaub und empfehlen diese Wohnung gerne weiter. Danke Mme Bolotte.

Restful oasis

We had a lovely time! We were on a quiet street in the middle of the historic district. There wasn’t a sound to be heard in the evening. The gite/apartment was well equipped, updated but kept its old world charm. A word of caution about the internet It’s slow at best and frequently we couldn’t load websites.

Très bon accueil, charmant logement idéalement placé, proche du centre ville. Petit problème de télévision et internet, mais chantal nous a spontanément de dommage cantal est attentive envers ses hôtes nous gardons un bon souvenir de ce séjour

Traumhafte Woche in mittelalterlichem Städtchen Autun

Wir wurden von Madame Bolotte sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. In der Küche findet man alles, was man braucht. Frühstück und Abendessen konnten wir oft auf der süßen Innenhofterrasse genießen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
