The House On The Hill is a beautiful 5 bedroom home on 40 acres accommodating up to 12 people (2 King Bedrooms opening up to outside with their own sliding doors to the country, 2 Queen Bedrooms and 1 Bedroom with 4 single beds) with 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets.
We are very flexible with arrival time this can be anytime for check in on the day of your arrival and with departure flexible depending on if booking next day. If booking following day in busy period checkout would be 10.00 am. However if no booking following day can stay until 3.00 pm to make the most of your House on the Hill experience.
The property has spectacular views overlooking Mt Camel and located very close to wineries in the area and is 19 km’s from the town of Heathcote. Heathcote is a town in central Victoria, Australia, situated on the Northern Highway 110 kilometres north of Melbourne and 40 kilometres south-east of Bendigo via the McIvor Highway.
This property is set on 40 acres, with beautiful mountain views and sunsets with salt water swimming pool and BBQ area to enjoy. Great house to escape to from the city and enjoy as a family, group of friends, winery weekend or golf weekend.
This property is regularly used as a family holiday house so has all creature comforts.
Our property has been used for special events such as small wedding ceremonies however if you are interested in this sort of stay there is additional fee of $2,000 on top of stay due to extra cleaning, rubbish removal, window cleaning. We are open to helping you celebrate your special day however there needs to be such a surcharge due to the extra expenses involved.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

We bought the land as is and over the period of 4 years my husband who is a builder painstakingly built the property over the weekends and commuting from Melbourne each weekend. We also had to put in power, septic tanks and various exacavating of driveways.
Why they chose this property
The view was the most amazing sight with views of the mountains - Mt Camel. We love the peaceful location and seeing the change of weather from where the house located seeing the beautiful sunrises, storms and sunsets.
