The casinos and a full-sized grocery store are within a couple of blocks of Timber Lodge (easy walking distance). South Lake Tahoe is a very fun place for New Year's Eve. The town and area typically schedule many special events to ring in the new year. All of this on top of the most convenient access to world class skiing at Heavenly Valley ski resort. Unit has two connected sides-one side with a full-sized kitchen, full bedroom with king bed, separate living/dining room with queen sleeper sofa and another large one bedroom side via an interior locking door with king bed and queen pull-out sofa bed, efficiency sized kitchen and bathroom. Both sides have their own door to the outside hotel corridor. Washer/dryer inside unit. Hotel property has large heated pool, jacuzzi, exercise room and valet ski storage. Sleeps 8 -2-King beds and 2-queen sleeper pull-out sofas.
