Antiga casa dos canteiros que construíram a Barragem de Salamonde, situada no aldeamento da EDP da Barragem de Salamonde.
A casa foi totalmente reconstruída, com 1 quarto suíte, 2 quartos e 1 quarto de banho comum; sala comum com cerca de 36 m2 com ligação a deck exterior em madeira com cerca de 30 m2 com churrasco e mesa exterior; vistas para a barragem e Parque Nacional; cozinha equipada, aquecimento central a lenha e piscina exterior privativa, em madeira (implantação em curso - a foto é do modelo a ser instalado)
A barragem de Salamonde é a única da zona não navegável por barcos de recreio por estar integrada no Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês e onde se situa uma entrada (por Fafião).
O Aldeamento da EDP da Barragem de Salamonde foi construído no início da década de 1950, tem cerca de 30 casas, na sua maioria rehabilitadas, e tem cerca de 4 hectares, com caminhos e percursos da época. Está na fronteira do Parque Nacional Peneda-Gerês o que lhe confere a tranquilidade necessária para uma estadia repousante e o acesso a passeios de reconhecimento das belezas naturais existentes

Stunning location and beautiful home

The location was spectacular for an escape into the hills. The view can not be beaten and the gentle breeze makes the summer temperature perfect. Easy drive to supermarkets and cafes/restaurants. The house feels like a home. Very comfortable and spacious. We loved every minute there.

Casa muito acolhedora e bem equipada situada num local fantástico. Otima para uns dias de descanso, com um espaço exterior que pode ser utilizado para refeições ou, simplesmente, ler um livro.

TRANQUILITE

Séjour reposant, tranquillisant, sécurisant. Environnement agréable, beau, entretenu. Le cadre est sublime si on apprécie la montagne. la piscine apporte une valeur ajoutée à la prestation. La maison est propre et bien équipée mise à part le manque de lave linge surtout quand on loue deux semaines...mais c'est gérable. Alexandre est super accueillant et réactif. Je recommande.

La maison est agréable et l’hôte au petits soins. L’endroit est joli et il y plein de chose à faire et à voir. En semaine l’endroit est calme et reposant. Malheureusement le week-end ce n’est pas la même chose. Le week-end est plus bruyant avec l’arrivé des différents voisins et groupe de jeunes venu faire la fête en ne se souciant ni de la quiétude du lieu ni des autres. Dommage car c’est le seul bémol.

I bought the house to rebuild it at our taste; we think the result is very satisfactory and we love our second home! We tried the house-renting when we went to Paris and we felt it would be a great way to use our second home and, with the earnings, keep on improving it. And we see it is working fine. This year and mostly because of Covid, we decided to put our own private pool, and we purchased a wooden pool, 6 x 4 m and 1,2 deep. It will be installed around this April to be ready for summer. Come and enjoy it too!

Why they chose this property

The electrical company who owns the dam, the power central and the village where the workers lived decided to sell the whole village in 1992 as the workers didn't need to live there anymore. We assembled a group of families that bought the whole village, and we were part of that group. Since then, 28 years after, we rebuild the house, the lovely surroundings have been recovered making that village a live example of how it was the way of life back in the 1950', year of the construction of the dam.
