With breathtaking views of the mountain ranges and surrounding farmland, Kakatu Retreat offers a relaxing getaway for solo travellers, couples and families alike. Explore the scenic walking and cycling tracks accessible from the end of the property, or relax and unwind with a game of golf or a day at the beach (located just 600m from the retreat).

Kakatu Retreat features spacious guest living facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, expansive decks capturing the sun, and a balcony with views of the mountain ranges. Start the day with an outdoor coffee on the balcony in the morning, with options for a delicious self-serve continental breakfast available for you to enjoy at your own leisure. (Breakfast by request only, is not included)
After a day of exploring the nearby beach and local Kaikoura attractions, sit out on the deck and watch the sun go down behind the mountains, or retreat inside the guest living area with cosy lounge seating, a library, table tennis, flatscreen smart TV and free Wi-Fi.

Group bookings are welcome at Kakatu Retreat for all occasions, whether it is for a corporate function, fishing trip, family getaway, birthday celebration or weekend golfing trip. Seven bedrooms and six bathrooms can be booked for your group, and transfers can be arranged on request from the airport, train station or bus stop.
