Suited Our Purpose, But Needs Work

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was excellent, a reasonable walk to the ski village & very close to the pool, which we used twice. The unit suited our needs in terms of space & amenities. We had enough room & the kitchen & bathrooms had almost everything we needed. One exception was the lack of dishwasher soap. I communicated this via the VRBO portal on our first day, but we didn't actually receive dishwasher soap until the afternoon of the day before we left, when we'd already washed all of our dishes by hand and only had one more meal - breakfast - remaining to be eaten in the unit. We did find the unit to be quite tired & worn, with substantial wear and tear & even some damage present when we arrived. We reported this as soon as we noticed it so that we wouldn't be blamed - or charged - for it. It had also not been cleaned very well, especially in the dining area. When we arrived there were visible crumbs between the cushions in the dining area chairs & in the crevices in the dining room table. We reported these as soon as we noticed them, too. Note that the people on the other end of the VRBO portal were very responsive to the issues that we raised, although, as I noted re. dishwasher soap, they took more time to actually act on them than we would have liked. In summary, we enjoyed the area very much & liked the complex over-all, but if we were to return we'd probably look for a different unit in the same complex in hopes of finding one in better shape.
