Beautiful, spacious 2 bedroom apartment with ocean and hillside views

Our tastefully furnished apartment upstairs in the farmhouse has high ceilings and comfortable patios to enjoy the views from all rooms.
The oceanview patio looks out to our lovely gardens and yoga shala which look out to the Atlantic Ocean.
We are on the rugged and picturesque eastern coast of the island, nestled on the outskirts of the well known fishing village called Martins Bay. Our nearest beach is Bath Beach which is great for swimming.
We have many beautiful coastal and countryside hiking trails. There’s yoga, horse back riding, fishing and hiking opportunities daily.

Amazing stay!
This is an amazing place to stay, and I highly recommend coming for a visit. My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to stay, away from the bustle of the typical tourist areas, and Ocean View was spectacular. There are beautiful views of the ocean from the upper balcony, perfect for watching the sun rise over the sea. We both worked during our stay and the wifi had plenty of bandwidth, so for those considering a "workcation" Ocean View is ideal. It is a working farm, so do expect to hear farm animals through the day; though a midday coffee break to feed the ducks and pet the goats is a fantastic way to break up the workday! Renting a car is recommended for sightseeing or shopping. The beach is accessible at low tide and is a 20 minute hike down the cliff, with a large shallow area for swimming. Constant sea breezes kept us cool and kept the insects away all at once! Delia is an excellent hostess, always available if needed but respectful of privacy. We stayed for a month and wished we could have stayed longer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ocean View Retreat, and look forward to visiting again!

Wir waren zum Wandern dort und würden wieder hinfahren
Traumhaft 50 m über dem Meer ruhig gelegenes Haus an der landschaftlich sehr reizvollen und abgelegenen Ostküste von Barbados. Man hat einen grandiosen Meerblick. Die Eigentümer betreiben auch Landwirtschaft. Man wird also eventuell 6 Uhr vom Hahn oder Entengeschnatter geweckt. Um das Tageslicht auszunutzen sollte man auch 6 Uhr aufstehen, 18 Uhr wird es schlagartig dunkel. Die Einheimischen an der Ostküste sind alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns zu zweit nie unsicher gefühlt. Durchgeführte Wanderungen: Unterkunft-Bath-Matins Bay-Unterkunft, Unterkunft-Bathsheba-Unterkunft, Loop Chalky Mountains, Loop Walkers Beach. Ein Auto ist zwingend notwendig. Der nächste ernsthafte Supermarkt ist 11 km entfernt. Die vollständig ausgestattete Wohnung zur Selbstversorgung besteht aus großem Wohnzimmer mit Küche, 2 Schlafzimmern und 3 Terrassen. Die Einrichtung ist zwar nicht neuwertig aber bis auf 2 Terrassenstühle voll funktionsfähig und sauber. Nur die elektrischen Backöfen sollten gründlich gereinigt werden. Belüftet wird die Wohnung durch die permanente Meeresbriese. Transportable Standventilatoren, Mückengitter und ein Moskitonetz im Schlafzimmer sind vorhanden. Die sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterin (wartete bei der Anreise bei Dunkelheit an der Straße auf uns) und ihr Sohn waren immer ansprechbar und geben Tipps. Beschwerden hatten wir keine. Weitere Familienmitglieder wohnen in Häusern nebenan (Echo Stables) und bieten weitere touristische Leistungen an, die wir allerdings nicht nutzten. Hinweise: Spannung 110V, britischen Adapter mitnehmen, die Lage der Unterkunft ist auf Karten im Internet ersichtlich und kann mit GPS selbständig angefahren werden, Schwimmen an der Ostküste nur am Strand in Bath möglich, weitere Bewertungen sind im Internet vorhanden.

If you want privacy, peace and serenity, Ocean View Retreat is the place to come and recharge and reconnect. We are off the beaten track and nestled on a cliff enjoying ocean and hillside views. Our neighborhood is friendly and helpful and I am never far away should you need assistance.
