About this property

Applewood Farms is a fabulous multi-purpose retreat nestled between I-43/I-94. We are located 20 minutes west of downtown Milwaukee and 10 minutes east of Waukesha. If you are a larger group attending Harley Fest or the RNC, you've found your perfect stay.

Our home was established more than 35 years ago by Ricca, Steve and their six kids. Since then, we have hosted hundreds of gatherings, showers, celebrations, parties, dinners and overnight stays -- for guests of all ages, from all walks of life and from all over the world.

Our four-bedroom, four-bath homestead is set on 5+ acres with an apple orchard, vegetable gardens, large deck, party grill, swimming pool/poolbar (seasonal), jacuzzi bathtub suite, pool table, board games, "Alexa" radio, multiple kitchens, bags/corn hole, fire pit, nearby park with hiking trails, poker room, unlimited parking and barn with views from the "sunset room". We have been told the pictures don't do it justice!

Applewood Farms is the perfect home-away-from-home for large groups, families and adventure travelers. Camping out in the orchard is OK.

*Please note that this is our family home, which we still live in, so we do have some family pictures, etc.

Great House for Large Gathering

We used Ricca's house for a bachelor party. The outdoor bar was perfect to hang out and watch college football all day.

Weekend getaway for 7 couples

Our group was 7 couples, getting away for a long weekend. Our plan was to arrive Friday afternoon, hang at the house, swim in the pool, and order in. Saturday we were heading to a couple breweries and then a Brewers & Cubs game. The location, size, and amenities of the house are great. I had communicated with Ricca several times before arriving and she was always very prompt and accommodating to our early check-in request. The house has everything you could possibly need regarding supplies, linens, kitchen utensils, etc. House is huge - we all had (very comfortable) beds and were able to spread out and have spaces to ourselves. Unfortunately the pool heater was broken during our stay so we were unable to swim. This was disappointing as that had been a major part of our plan for Friday and arriving earlier. The pool (looked) amazing and the poolhouse was great though. They also have an awesome firepit that we did use. This was different than about 10 other VRBO experiences we have had however, in that this property is their actual home. There are family pictures throughout the house, food in the fridges, etc. Some people in our group did not mind, but some were a little unnerved to be staying/sleeping in someone else's actual bed and having their things all around. We all had a fantastic time, and I do recommend the property for a large group gathering.

Great place to stay. Amazing backyard and pool

Ricca is very flexible on check in which helped us since we had ppl coming from different areas. The house has everything. From towels and pool floaties to every kitchen utensil you can think of. All kinds of board games. We had a great time there

Amazing!

We have rented many properties and this one was by FAR the best!! Ricca and Steve are so accommodating and nice! We couldn’t have asked for a better time with our friends! Oh ya and the pool guy Rick is awesome too! Shout out to applewood farms for the fun times we had!!!
