Old Coach Road Estate (OCRE) is a luxurious villa situated on a beautiful 200 acre rural property overlooking Victor Harbor and Granite Island. The location is secluded, with heritage scrub and wildlife, yet multiple attractions are only a few minutes drive away. Recently renovated, the beautiful villa is fully air-conditioned yet eco-friendly with solar panels, double glazing and rainwater supply.

With its claw foot bath, idyllic setting, open fireplace and top quality linen this beautiful villa is perfect for honeymoons or other romantic getaways. Alternatively this beautiful home can accommodate several couples having 3 king beds and a sofa bed.

The master bedroom is huge and luxurious. Enjoy the 5* king bed and hotel quality sheets and be blown away with its amazing views over native scrubland down to Victor Harbor and the sea. The home has 360 degree views and the stunning views both from the master bedroom and its private deck are second to none. A large en-suite bathroom, also with views, services the master bedroom. A telescope is provided for guests to make the most of this spectacular room.

Blissful and Relaxing Stay

From the moment we arrived our family loved this place. The setting in the hills with almost 360 deg views is stunning! Angela greeted us at the property and showed us around. She was in touch with us prior to our arrival to take care of any requirements we might have. A wonderful host! The property is well catered for any cooking needs, has very comfortable and clean beds and is more visually appealing than in the photos. We can't wait to return!

Amazing property

We would recommend this property in a flash. Everything from beginning to the end was fantastic The communication from Angela through to the attention to detail in the house. The house was much better in real life, especially kitchen. The fire was also ready just to light ... lovely touch. Thanks so much

My husband and I purchased the farm adjacent to OCRE in 1993 and since then we loved watching the slow but steady development of OCRE next door. When we had the opportunity to purchase the OCRE property in 2019, we just couldn't wait to renovate the home with the environment in mind. With the renovation we replaced all windows and doors with floor to ceiling double glazing, maximised the collection of rainwater from the roof and added solar panels, preparing OCRE for others to enjoy the place whilst reducing the potential impact upon the environment.

Why they chose this property

Our guests remark on the stunning views, the kangaroos, echidnas, the wide variety of Australian birds, the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and the beautiful starry nights. The 360 views from OCRE are simply stunning. The huge master bedroom overlooks heritage scrub and open fields, with the view extending down to the Southern Ocean. Granite Island and "The Bluff" are landmarks easily spotted. At night the lights of Victor Harbour twinkle in the distance, but these lights are clearly outdone by the stars on a clear night and moonless night! Our guests enjoy luxurious accommodation and on cooler nights the open fireplace in the lounge is an absolute favourite.

What makes this property unique

OCRE is perfect for the romantic getaway for 2 people. The incredible master bedroom has views described by some as "the best in South Australia" and romance is ensured with the open fire, the complimentary treats, the claw footed bath and the secluded location in the centre of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

But the property is also the perfect place for 3 couples as the 3 bedrooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, high quality linen and king beds, and are serviced by a fully equipped large kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, a BBQ, decks on all sides of the home and a large outdoor setting. The second and third bedrooms can each be configured to 2 single beds if preferred.

The nature lover will love the birds and wildlife and especially the nature walk through the heritage scrub with its wide variety of flora and fauna. During spring the variety of native orchids is incredible! Be sure to pack the camera!!
