This beautiful home is located on the edge of Maili Point--on the dry and sunny west side of Oahu which offers days of perfect weather, full of sunshine and trade winds. The property's secluded location provides a relaxing and peaceful setting for a family, friends, or anything in between. Once the main gate closes, the privileges of your own private beachfront home with unsurpassed views of one of Hawaii's most beautiful bays becomes apparent. Until 2003 the property was the beach home of a well known Hollywood actor who described Maili Point as his favorite spot on all the islands.

With its spectacular ocean and coastline views as well as unbelievably beautiful sunsets, you'll know you have found paradise! The beach is half sand and half reef which makes for lots of great surfing, bodyboarding, and snorkeling. In fact, Maili Point is world renowned in the surfing world--boasting sets as impressive as double head high. In addition to the many tropical fish you are likely to spot sea turtles, dolphins and, during the winter months, whales playing in the waters just off shore. If you feel like exploring, there are many beautiful sandy beaches nearby as well as numerous golf courses.

Waianae Marina just 10 minutes away offers fishing, snorkeling and dolphin expeditions as well as seasonal whale watching. The exquisite Ko'Olina resort is also just 10 minutes away and offers everything you'd expect from a first class resort. Separate detached guest house (VRBO #93529) also available for rent for larger groups (can sleep 2 more). For complete privacy we recommend including guesthouse with your rental. We offer 35% discount on guesthouse price when rented together with main house.

Oasis on the Ocean

We are two couples that routinely travel together. The Main House has plenty of room to spread out. Property is immpecably maintained. Waianae is a great neighborhood to experience the real Hawaii. We covered all of Oahu too. Just be mindful of traffic given the time of day.

Great Property

House is in its own gated compound with great views of the Pacific and the Island. Feels very private for being located so close to a major highway. Great house for a family get together. If your looking for a house that is Hawaii, this is it.

Exceptional property.

The house and yard were in great condition. We had excellent communication from the property manager and host. The views were incredible. Each morning we watched the surfers come out to some of the best waves on the South shore. Perfect view of incredible sunsets. We saw a seal, turtles, dolphins, and the highlight was seeing a manta ray breach. Would definitely stay here again.

What a special and AMAZING property!!! We loved everything about the house and cottage! The setting on the ocean is absolutely incredible!! We saw turtles, whales, monk seals, surfers, and one of the most incredible fireworks displays for New Year's EVER!! I cannot say enough about this house! We travel frequently, and have stayed at places all over the world....this is one of our favorites!! Very clean, fully stocked with everything you need, and super nice owner and property managers! We hope to be back really soon!!!

Perfect Family Beach House

You will have no regrets if you book this vacation rental. We stayed for a glorious month with three generations. The house has great indoor and outdoor spaces that are perfect for family gatherings. Although the location of the house is a little off the beaten path for some travelers, the views are impeccable and there are some awesome beaches on the west side that are not crowded like other parts of the island. Best of all, we were able to snorkel with sea turtles on several occasions right outside of the house, which was a real highlight of the trip. The communication with the host and property manager was amazing; I always got quick and helpful responses to all of my inquires. This is truly a top notch vacation rental.

Perfect home base!

Our family of 5 loved this house! It was our home base as we bummed around the island for 10 days. We almost stayed in a condo in Honolulu and I'm so glad we found this house instead. We had so much more room to relax without being surrounded by thousands of people. The house is beautiful and you cannot beat the amazing view and being steps away from the ocean. We snorkeled with sea turtles right out the back door! That being said, you should know that the property is located in a run down area with a large homeless population and sirens going by constantly and not much to do nearby. Just something to be aware of if you plan to spend the majority of your time at the house.

A Little Piece of Heaven

We loved our month-long visit. The house is beautiful on a private beach. The beach is too rocky to swim, but there are so many swimming beaches within walking distance, it doesn’t matter. We watched surfers every day along with sea turtles and even some dolphins one day. The shuffleboard court was great fun for the kids and adults. The house is decorated beautifully with incredibly comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook every day. Two coffee makers were nice along with the griddle for sandwiches and pancakes. We also rented the bungalow above the garage for a week with extra family members; just perfect! All the extras you could need are also included...snorkel masks and fins, water shoes, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. It’s a wonderful place to vacation. We loved our trip!

From the beginning of the booking process, Patty was accommodating and helpful. Upon check-in, Debi did a great job at going over the nuts and bolts of the property with us and making sure we were comfortable. When we stepped foot on the property, the views were really something to take in. Being honest, it probably took us a full day or two to just take in the views because they were unlike anything we had ever seen. Falling asleep and waking up to the ocean each night/morning felt magical. What an experience! The house was in tip top shape and squeaky clean. There were more than enough supplies provided. Décor was unique and fitting. Thanks Ochi family for a fabulous stay. No complaints. All smiles! We hope to be back soon!

Stunning property, fabulous stay

We spent a week with our adult children at this beautiful property. It was so peaceful and secluded and literally 10 steps from the water. When we arrived, it was even prettier than the pictures. We liked it so much that our favorite part of the vacation was coming home every afternoon to watch the sunset. There were so many thoughtful extras provided by the owner. I have never been in a more fully stocked VRBO. This property is a little off the beaten path which may appeal to you. Expect about a 30 minute drive to Honolulu from the house. Personally, I enjoyed being in a more private and secluded property than in the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a lot of security around the yard and house so you will feel very safe. In the morning, don’t miss all the amazing surfers who use the water right in front of the house. We had a little family of chickens who visited every day as well. Our family also really enjoyed the shuffleboard which overlooks the water. I highly recommend this property, especially if you have a family or larger group of people to accommodate.

A little slice of heaven

The pictures are on point. Everything in this house is shown accurately. No surprises except one of the bedrooms upstairs does not have AC or a ceiling fan but cools down nicely when all upstairs units and fans are on. My family loved the outdoor area and the view. Snorkeling in front of the house is a MUST! We tried other beaches but none were as good as what we had in our backyard. This area is more for locals and there is a lot of traffic but I never felt unsafe or like security was an issue. Debi was amazing from the time we booked through our departure. Super organized and very accommodating. She even had the gardener change the time of the sprinklers to accommodate us. I would stay here over any place in Honolulu. The sunset and the weather on this side of the island is the best you can get. The people of Hawaii are the best and I can't wait to return! Aloha from North Carolina :)

Mahalo for such a wonderful stay

We highly recommend staying here. Everything about this place was amazing. The view was stunning, especially the beautiful sunsets every night. Each sunset told a different story, and by the end of the trip, we were convinced they were trying to win an Oscar for Best Sunset Performance. Time slowed down during the whole trip, allowing for much-needed relaxation and sunbathing. We reached levels of relaxation we didn’t know existed. The snorkeling was spectacular, with so many beautiful reef fish to see. By the end of the trip, we were finally able to say the state fish of Hawaii's name, Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, without sounding like we were reciting a spell. The sea turtles were stunning and seemed to be having the time of their lives, gliding through the water like they owned the place. We enjoyed traveling around the island as well. We visited Pearl Harbor, Manoa Falls, and a variety of local restaurants and coffee shops. We also took a ride on the Hawaiian Railway Society's train from Ewa to Ko'Olina, which was a charming trip back in time. The Halona Blowhole put on a show, and touring the North Shore was a wonderful adventure. We explored the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Dole Plantation, where we discovered that Dole Whips are our new best friend. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place with stunning views, incredible sunsets, and a chance to snorkel with sea turtles, this is it. Just be prepared to practice saying "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" before you leave.

House of Heavenly Waters - 5 stars

We recently stayed at this property in November 2021. We booked the home and cottage together as we were a larger group. Loved the enclosed yard for the kids and convenient easy walkout access to the ocean. The home had everything you needed plus more. Plenty of beach towels, snorkels and fins, beach chairs and water shoes. The owner Patty was always a pleasure to communicate with and Debi the property manger on the island responded promptly with our inquires. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back to this lovely home and special spot. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us.

Great 4-Generation Family Vacation

This home gave us everything it promised - great location, sparkling clean, beach access, and plenty of space to enjoy our 4-generation family vacation in Hawaii. Because of the shut-downs caused by COVID-19, we were not able to see and do the activities that we had planned, but our vacation was still enjoyable because of the convenience and ambiance of this home. The beach was steps away to snorkel and look for hermit crabs and shells. We had fun watching the turtles pop up their heads and wave to us. We saw many surfers each day, and enjoyed playing shuffleboard on the court next to the sea wall. The house was roomy and provided ample space for the 7 of us, even on the rainy days. And we were only five minutes away from one of the only shave ice locations that stayed open during our stay. Thank you to Patti and Debi for making our stay enjoyable in troubled times. Mahalo!

Best Vacation Home Ever

We just returned from our stay at the house and could not have been happier with every detail - the house itself was beautiful...the layout, amenities, cleanliness, furnishings...and the location and view was a huge standout. To wake up every morning to that view and fall asleep every night to crashing waves was just awesome. We will definitely return! Debi was exceptional - hospitable, informative and fun!
