A large screened in porch, plus an open deck with a gas grill, are perfect for capturing the refreshing ocean breeze or watching your family in the neighborhood pool. When your family is ready to hit the surf and sand, access is a breeze down the public beach access path located at the end of the block, which will lead you to a wide pristine beach. Whether in the house or on the sandy beach, your family will have a terrific stay at 54 Pelican Bay.
The interior of 54 Pelican Bay is very unique. The beautiful wood plank walls in the main living area are stained to provide the feeling of a classic beach home. The living room is highlighted by a vaulted ceiling, providing open space with an abundance of natural light and wonderful leather furniture. The well-equipped kitchen has been completely renovated with new cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. The dining area offers seating for six plus additional seating on the screen porch for four.
When the sun sets and the crew is ready to turn in, 54 Pelican Bay features three wonderful bedrooms. The master bedroom, on the main floor, has a king bed and a newly renovated bathroom featuring a new large tiled shower. The queen guest bedroom is located on the second floor and has a private bath. Finally, the third bedroom is perfect for kids with two twin beds plus a single trundle bed. It also has a private bathroom that has been renovated with a large tiled shower. Everyone is guaranteed a great night's sleep at 54 Pelican Bay. Additional Queen Sleeper sofa has been added for that additional guest or two.

All reservations between 4-28 nights come with a $250 beach gear credit with VaykGear.com. Guests will be able to reserve gear after booking. - The Pelican Bay pool is open May-September and guests will need a pool pass. The pool is not heated. - Unfortunately, pets and ESAs are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed animals are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval, there is a fine of $500 per pet. - Fireplaces are not for guest use. - Trailers and motorcycles are not allowed inside Wild Dunes. - Guests have access to the Pelican Bay pool, and to the cafes and restaurants at Wild Dunes. Any other amenities or recreation at Wild Dunes, including golf, tennis or the spa, must be booked separately. - Please note that due to natural coastal conditions, beach areas may experience periodic erosion that can affect shoreline size and accessibility. During periods of high tide, portions of the beach—or the entire beach—may be temporarily inaccessible. We are not able to guarantee identical beach conditions for future stays, and refunds or relocations will not be available due to these natural changes. - While we do our best to communicate any known work within Wild Dunes or nearby beach projects, many homes are privately owned and we are not always notified of surrounding activity. As a result, we are unable to guarantee a disruption-free environment or offer relocation for any unforeseen construction.

8 days, 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath house. House was clean and well maintained. Pool was only steps away and Ocean was 5 minute walk. House was in Isle of Palms with easy commute into Charleston. Gated community so was very secure and quiet.

Everything was very nice. Easy beach access. Very responsive to a couple of minor issues. Needs cushions on screened in porch furniture, which it appears to have been made for cushions. Highly recommend this house for a nice vacation.

3 min walk to pool and 5 min walk to beach. Great location. Only complaint was parking is TIGHT! If you have a SUV you will barely fit under the house and if you do fit you won’t be able to open your doors very wide. Also no pot holders or oven mitts.The sandbar at low tide was amazing.i have never seen anything like it!

Place nice close to beach unit could use a bit of updating. Very clean, pool was cloudy bathrooms by pool where not cleaned the entire week we where there not home owners issue but they should address this with the HOA. There where a couple of minor issues addressed immediately by avantstay. Grill on location should be replaced.

The option for early checkin would have been nice especially since the unit was not occupied the day before we arrived. We have to wait outside the unit for 2 hours until 4pm and the entry code did not specify you have to enter # before the number - unclear instructions !
This was a perfect size and location for our girls’ long weekend getaway. There were three of us and we each had a room and bath. Appreciated the cable access for tv as well as Roku in the bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked (maybe just add a paring knife and vegetable peeler). The big gas grill is amazing! We got bikes with our gear credit and really enjoyed riding around Wild Dunes. We could’ve used a bike path map for the whole island but we toodled around on our own. Easy access to the beach. We walked to the end of IOP and loved the privacy. It’s an easy drive to Charleston - we went into the city two days. The rental company was proactive checking in on us. Highly recommend!

Thank you Anna for your review and we are happy you enjoyed the stay at our beach house in spite of the previous WiFi issues. As new homeowners, you will be happy to know we have upgraded our WiFi at the home so there is a faster and more reliable WiFi signal at the home now. We have also replaced and replenished the kitchen supplies again. We do full inventory checks twice a year for the home and replace any broken or missing items that are found. For future reference, you are also welcome to contact the management company on the island for a quick replacement should you notice anything missing. Thank you again for your comments and we hope despite the complaints, you were able to enjoy the beaches, pools, restaurants, and Charleston area during your visit.
Great location for access to the ocean which was right across the street. We couldn't get the grill to work. The place was clean and had everything we needed.
Lovely usable floor plan. The kitchen was one of the most well- stocked we have ever rented. The Master is spacious, WiFi strong for working at the desk, great Walk-in closet, nice updated bath, (no TV). The bathrooms were all nice. There were no guest chairs in any of the bedrooms. The living room was so pretty but the lighting is not good and the furniture was not comfortable. The manager responded immediately to my feedback. We were here for 3 weeks and enjoyed our stay. However, the owner needs to look at some comfortable furniture and TVs in guest areas. The management did bring a small "streaming" TV for the front guest room while we were there. That is fine for some but I prefer to click and watch.
Overall, very clean and a great location for the walk-on area of the beach. This is a new rental, hopefully the owner will consider feedback at this price point in January!
Planning to rent this home again next summer! Really enjoyed the location on the “back” side of the island...away from all the crowds at the Grand Pavilion, but just a quick bike ride or golf cart ride away if that’s what you’re in the mood for...
Covid had the Pelican Bay pool closed...but it is visible from the back porch of the property and is perfect for if you have older children who wanted to head over and swim, but you also wanted to be able to keep an eye on them...
The Beachside Vacations staff kept me abreast of changes and the check in and check out process were seamless....
Great home with all you need...I traveled with my mother and my three children...ages 16, 10, and 3.
