Ground Level: Exterior amenities include 2 outside showers and a charcoal grill. Inside offers a Den with HD TV/DVD, refrigerator, dumbwaiter, full hall bath, Bedroom with 2 Singles, and laundry area.

Mid Level: King Master Bedroom with HD TV and a Queen Bedroom that shares a full bathroom with a Bedroom with a DuoBunk with Trundle. Hot tub is on the deck. All bedrooms on this level have deck access.

Top Level: Living room with HD TV/VCR/DVD, stereo with CD and gas fireplace, half bath, kitchen with breakfast bar seating 3, dining area seating 10, pub table seating 4 and a King Master Bedroom with HD TV, deck access, and whirlpool tub.

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Not clean or safe

When we checked in there were dirty towels left in a pile in the upstairs bathroom. We contacted the property manager and that was resolved quickly. We thought… okay… maybe they are having staffing issues due to COVID and that will be the worst of it. Later that night when the kids were playing hide and seek we found an open and full container of alcohol in the closet where there were two bunk beds. Also , two of the kids stepped in broken glass that was there and cut themselves. I emailed the property manager again and got a quick reply and they said they could send someone to clean again but that was about it. For spending thousands of dollars for a house, I expect a certain level of cleanliness and safety for my family. I was disappointed on both accounts.

A mixed bag

The location was great and Corolla Light is our favorite spot in the Outer Banks. The house was not very clean and really needs an update. Deck furniture was very old and the paint is peeling on the outside of the house. Beds need to be replaced, as they were somewhat uncomfortable. But we had a great time being together!
