Seahorse Cottage is a semi-oceanfront, older, classic beach cottage located in South Nags Head less than 50 yards over the dune line. Enjoy a 2-minute walk to the beach and ocean views from the front porch, dining room and living areas. THIS LISTING IS FOR THE UPSTAIRS ONLY - Three Bedrooms and 1.5 baths. There a separate detached one-bedroom unit with full kitchen downstairs available on its own or with the upstairs as one house. This is a classic (older) but updated Old Nags Head beach cottage with two separate units - upstairs three bedrooms, 1.5 baths and downstairs one bedroom, one bath - both with full kitchens and living areas.

Guest access
You will have access to the common areas outside, (shared) laundry downstairs, (shared) hose and outdoor rinsing shower for sand removal, and the entire upstairs living quarters.

Other things to note - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING.
Parking is in the driveway only. On-street parking is not allowed. The driveway may be shared with guests in the unit downstairs. 2 CARS MAXIMUM for this listing.- 2 regular sized vehicles. If you have an oversize/very large truck or large SUVs (Suburbans, etc) there may only be room for 1 vehicle. If you have questions or doubts, please reach out to us in advance. The downstairs unit shares a driveway with a 1 car maximum.

PLEASE READ! We ask that you and your guests/family be courteous and mindful of the other guests staying below with regards to noise, parking etiquette, and the shared laundry and outdoor shower areas.

Guests are generally responsible for their own charcoal and staples, however, they may be in the house and you are welcome to use what you find there - we try to keep things stocked with basics for cooking and cleaning to make the unit as comfortable as possible for guests but we don't guarantee any particular item. With regards to paper products - we ONLY supply the first roll of toilet paper and paper towels complimentary. Guests are responsible for paper needs above and beyond that.

This is a vacation rental and a duplex - not a hotel. We know you are on vacation but do ask our guests to be willing to cooperate with each other (AND US) and assist with things that go along with a house rental and situation with some shared areas - this includes parking, use of beach gear and the laundry room, trash rollout, etc. If necessary, this also includes assisting us with letting service providers in and communicating with them if necessary to fix or troubleshoot an internet or other rare issue. By booking, we assume you have read, understand and are okay with this. We are friendly and laid back but conscientious people and find that our listing is best suited for the same type of guests.

Guests must roll out the trash carts in and out for trash pickup as designated by the signs in the unit. (We will send reminders as well). Thank you for your assistance in advance!

We do have a camera on the house that is motion activated and has a spotlight to monitor parking. The only area that can be seen with the camera is the parking area.

PARKING: MAXIMUM 2 REGULAR SIZE CARS/SUVS. Parking is shared with the downstairs rental. Please be mindful of other guests. No parking on access road.
NOISE: There are likely to be guests in residence downstairs and our neighbors. Please be mindful of excess noise especially from 9am-9pm.
TRASH: Trash and recycling cans must be rolled out to the MAIN ROAD every Sunday night and Wednesday night. Please roll them back in the morning.
