Beautiful property with so much character and charm..everything we needed and more.. close to 321 Bypass.. excellent location.. huge porches and yard.. very accommodating
We had a wonderful stay at this property during our trip from Florida for a family reunion in Lincolnton. The home is full of charm and character, with a cozy atmosphere and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. It truly felt like a place that has held many meaningful memories for the homeowners and their loved ones. While we appreciated the nostalgic feel, there are a few small updates that could make future stays even more enjoyable. The kitchen could benefit from refreshed cookware—especially frying pans—and adding a Keurig would be a great touch for coffee lovers. The beds and linens, while clean, felt a bit worn and could use updating for added comfort. And given the large, beautiful yard, a few outdoor additions like a swing or a bin of games would be a fun enhancement for families or groups spending time outside.Overall, this home provided the perfect setting for reconnecting with loved ones, and we’re grateful for the memories made here. Thank you for sharing your special space with us!

The Dollhouse
We really enjoyed our stay! What a lovely, 3,000 sq. ft., 2 story home that was built in 1940! When we were making a decision about where to stay, we shared pictures of potential places with my brother. When he saw the pictures of this beautiful home in Lincolnton, he referred to this home as a “dollhouse”, so that is what we started referring to it as, The Dollhouse. It is beautifully decorated and there are many accent items and furniture pieces throughout the home from the era the home was built in. The wood stairs with newel posts are an absolute masterpiece! There are even two layers of stairs that split! I have never seen such a thing! Thank goodness the stairs have never been painted! There are even wood floors and fireplaces throughout the home. It was well-stocked with supplies. Also of note, there is a lovely, half-circle, paved drive with decorative stone work out in front of the house. The owners were quick to respond to any questions that we had. We would definitely stay there again!
Very beautifully decorated house with a lot of trinkets to keep your eye occupied. Large fenced in property well taken care of that encouraged me to walk and get my exercise. Didn't see the stairs in the pictures but it does include beautiful shiny wood staircases(more than one). Doll, teddy bear and wedding gown collection at top of staircase is a great cinversation piece.. Very detailed piece of property from kitchen to bedrooms would definitely rent again and referr others..
This was a beautiful property. The cleaning fee was a ridiculous amount charged BEFORE the stay. More than $200!! The property itself
Was beautiful but if you have kids beware of the creepy dolls on the second floor landing. Gave my daughter nightmares. Overall it was a nice house on a Mai road (so traffic was heard)
It was a wonderful accommodation for family attending our wedding.

What a Christmas Party!
We used the Oakwood House for a ladies Christmas Party. What a great time we had! The venue was clean and beautiful, sufficiently stocked for our needs and we felt at home. The owners allowed us to personalize the party with additional decorations. There was sufficient room to social difference and be safe. Definitely want to visit again. Recommend to anyone who needs a great place to stay. We will be back!

Power outage
We were not able to stay at the house we reserved. When we arrived there was. I power and we tried contacting the owner and his wife white a few times without success. Because of the amount of people and food we brought and the fact we could not all get ready for a wedding without electricity, we checked into the Hampton Inn.
