We came to Buffalo to visit Niagara falls and watch the Chief's play. We had my family and my sister's family. The house worked out perfect everyone had their own space and we felt safe staying there. We really enjoyed having the off street parking and the outdoor area.
Family weekend for the Bills Vs Steelers. The location was close to downtown which was great for us. There was one issue with a breaker blowing in the kitchen but the hosts were quick to respond and resolved the problem. We enjoyed our stay.

The major concern our family had with this property was the location. While nearby (a few blocks) the local area improved measurably, the property itself was in a run down and, I dare say, sketchy neighborhood. Upon arrival, we realized the home had been misrepresented in the VRBO listing. The front porch was dirty and covered with cobwebs. The interior of the home was satisfactory, although we would not describe it as anything more than a roof over our head and running water... the furnishings were what one might imagine as college dorm quality and appearance. It was clean on the surface, but the appliances and conveniences were, again, worn and required cleaning before use. The proprietor was friendly and responsive, although we didn't ask anything more than "is it safe around here"? Of course the answer was "yes, it hasn't been a problem." Anyway, I'll close this review with there is no butterfly garden, it's a main pass thru thoroughfare that had noise and sirens nightly and I would kindly steer families with young children to a different option. This was my first VRBO experience... and likely my last.
The Butterfly House was the perfect spot while we stayed in town for a family reunion. Everything was comfortable with plenty of space for the 10 of us. The extra off street parking was a nice to bonus, as well as 2.5 baths (not always easy to find in an older downtown property). We even found a couple great restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. Linda was super prompt with any questions we had, thanks again!
The house was perfect for our weekend in Buffalo. Great location near restaurants and bars. House was really clean, beds were comfortable, and we were able to fit all 4 cars in the driveway. Easy check in. Would recommend and stay there again!
Great place for a large family. Plenty of room for the 8 adults and 3 children that were in our party. Could have used more towels and there wasnt much closet space. Overall though it was very clean and spacious. We had a great time.
Listing states sleeps 12, only 5 bedrooms with 1 room that has a small sofa pull out. To use you have to move bed, makes room very tight. Not enough towels for #of guest if it sleeps 12 there should be 2 towels per guest. Only 10 forks total!! No platters no large frying pans kitchen dishes and cooking very very limited unable to cook meals for family of 12. No large bowls to serve salads.
From the moment we reserved, we felt welcome. From the moment that we walked in, we felt comfortable and at home. The only thing we lacked was a supply of garbage bags. Also, small garbage cans are needed in each bedroom. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful stay! Would stay again! Nice neighborhood!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay! We are a large bunch and had plenty of room! House is a older home but you can tell A lot of renovations have been done but personally a little more work is needed here and there. Some highlight for us was parking for two vehicles (could fit 3 smaller vehicles), updated kitchen appliances, nice quite neighborhood, had plenty of dishes, silverware, and towels. Only things I’d improve would be more seating at the kitchen table and in the back yard patio get rid of the ripped chairs (they had a whole newer patio set so those were just trash) and maybe add a small grill we would’ve enjoyed one. Overall I would recommend this home for a large family or group and I would stay again.
This place was perfect for a larger group to fit comfortably! Location was great. 10 min walk to some nice coffee shops. The nice large front porch was our favorite part of the house. Would stay again!
