Really nice just not for small kids
we really enjoyed everything except the stairs inside the cabin. The stairs are very steep and my dogs rolled down them and very scary when my 3 year old grand-daughter tried walking down there to her room.

Filthy
We paid an exorbitant rate to stay in this property over New Years. I was obligated to sign a lengthy contract with the property management company after paying VBRO, which included threats of big penalties. The house was gross. The central air return filter was so incredibly clogged with dust that it was collapsing. There was debris visible on all the floors and carpets. There was paint peeling off all over the bottom of the tub. The bed covers were stained. Windows were dirty, blinds layered with dust, dirty stove and oven, stains covered every chair cushion at the kitchen table... There was a giant Christmas tree in the family room depriving us of valuable space. The house accommodated eight but the kitchen table sat only four. We arrived exhausted in the night. I called to complain the next morning. I was assured that someone would be there to clean right away. Someone did come and replace the air filter, but no one ever showed up to clean. With no direct communication (e.g. apology) from the manager, I was given a whopping 12.5% refund by the management company. I wish I could post the pictures. VBRO is obviously a farce and Big Bear Vacations is a lousy, greedy management company.

Great stay overall
We had a great time at the cabin. Only fall backs were the fact that they did not have paper towel, enough toilet paper (only had two for a group of 11), and the trash drop off being ~1.5 miles away. Overall the place was good.

Great house
Over all it was a good house to rent and had enough space. It needs a light on the wall way to the house for there is a step you can not see. But had an excellent stay.

Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows.
