Check in was quick and simple. Very nice place. We did not have 15 guests but 15 would be a stretch. As the listing suggests that would need to include several very small children. Kitchen area with the massive island is a great gathering place. Could use a couple of new pans for cooking. All and all a nice rental, much larger than it looks from the road.

We love Lake City, Colorado, and had a wonderful time and this is a great place to stay. The river behind us, the fire pit, the hammock, and the yard was perfect! Beautiful and clean house with plenty of room in the house for our big family, well stocked, and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again when we bring the family back again. Wish we could have stayed longer! Great place to make memories. I give it 5 stars!

Good house, great location

Lake City is one of my favorite towns in Colorado for its proximity to some great 14ers and no-nonsense vibe. This house was perfect for our large family - walkable you everything in town and large enough for all. The house is well-appointed compared to many VRBOs I’ve stayed with plentiful dishes, silverware utensils. A few items for improvement — the lights above the center island did not work, the chopping knives were all very dull (and the sharpener needs replacement), and the hot tub needs upkeep. The Responsive owner/host offered to fix each of those ASAP during our stay, but due to COVID and older parents with my family, we declined.

The house has a wonderful layout! It was very well stocked! The location was great!! The only complaint I have is that the house could have been cleaner! Whoever is cleaning the house needs to be fired! I realize that a vaca house is not gonna be perfect! But it was extremely dusty and the appliances were dirty… The appliances had finger prints & food on them…. The toaster & coffee pot were disgusting!! The kitchen seemed to be the worse overall… The windows & glass doors downstairs had fingerprints all over them… Other than it could be cleaner the house is great for a big group!!

Great place

The house and property is beautiful. We had a large group and there were not really enough towels for everyone. There are quite a bit of rules and items that guests can’t use. I understand to a degree as you do not want someone to mess up personal/family belongings, but there were a lot. The property is cleanish…it is dusty and a lot of cobwebs. There is also not enough bear trash cans available for a large group. We had to take trash to the transfer station and still had to leave trash in the garage as instructed. On the positive side, it has a great upstairs area with lots to entertain and the kitchen is very nice! It is well stocked with dishes and a coffee bar. We really enjoyed our stay there and will book again. Over all, the positive outweighs the negative.

Memories

We have been going to Lake City for many years, we always camped with a tent when our children were small. As the children grew up and left, me and my husband would stay in small cabins by ourself. My husband suddenly passed in February, so me and my children and their families rented this beautiful home for what would have been his 70th birthday. We had 3 days of exploring and remembering the good times we have had over the years. Lake City is beautiful all year long, it was especially beautiful when we were there. The house had everything we needed, we just wished we could have stayed longer.

Everything you need and more

This home is beautiful and well-maintained. There are four bedrooms, two baths, and a game room upstairs while the master bed and bath are downstairs. The kitchen is well-stocked and has everything you need to make full meals and then some. They have a fire pit next to the river and plenty of outdoor seating. The home is spacious enough to accommodate bigger groups or families. We stayed here with my parents for over a week and we all loved it! We couldn’t have picked a better home to vacation in. Would definitely recommend!

The house was as advertised, has a great location, and was very clean. We had issues with the property management company confirming our request to add a day to our reservation and had to contact VRBO. Thankfully, VRBO stepped in and helped us get things resolved. Only disappointing thing about the rental was that the hot tub advertised did not heat. Otherwise, the house and stay was great for our family reunion.

Great house on the the river in town. Comfortable and nicely decorated with plenty of room. Beds were comfortable which is always important. Smart TV’s didn’t work for 2 days because internet was down but manager handled the issue best they could. Very convenient being right next to clinic as we had to take my toddler for a visit. Had bikes to use which was great since there was no where to rent this summer! Would definitely stay again, another great time in beautiful LC! God is good! Thanks for sharing your lovely getaway.

Overall very pleased with the accommodations. Clean and had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. The home is located in a residential area next to the emergency clinic. Since we were using our John Deer Gators for the Alpine Loop our vehicles, and gear were safe and no one lurking around at night. Huge yard adjacent to river with a privacy fence. Felt secluded but close to amenities. We are already booking for next year. You will not be disappointed. I have stayed in many vacation rentals in Lake City and for the cost it’s worth it.

Beautiful house on the River

This house was perfect! The check-in process was easy. The owner was accessible to reach if we needed anything. The house would sleep several couples VERY comfortably. The layout was warm and welcoming. The hot tub was working, we loved it. It was on the small side. Only downside, we only had a couple of nights to stay here. Thank you for allowing us into your home!
