WARRUGA SHACK - Orange

Located in a beautiful rural setting, 15 minutes from Orange and hosts 8. Explore everything Orange has to offer or stay put and enjoy the extensive rural landscape with district views all the way to the local mountain ranges. Warm up by the indoor fireplace or outdoor fire pit (outdoor fires permitted April-September) or just soak up the western views and sunsets from the deck. Rest up in the beautifully styled bedrooms with two ensuites and a large third bedroom and separate bathroom.

New gourmet kitchen, dining area and second sitting area, flowing on to outdoor deck.
The second sitting area is flooded in natural light and can be closed off from the main living area so guests can find their own space.

The garden setting envelopes the space and allows a great disconnect from busy life. The sunsets from the Western deck are a delight, and can also be enjoyed from the outdoor fire pit.

The Shack includes exposed wooden beams, original wooden posts and is styled in a eclectic but comfortable way so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing rural views.

High quality linen, bath towels, blankets, living room throws and all essential amenities for bathroom and kitchen are supplied.

Outstanding property

What a great place! In the peaceful countryside with sweeping views from every room. Two separate living areas, fabulous modern kitchen, three groovy bathrooms. We had a fabulous time relaxing at The Shack. Great Brekky provisions were there on arrival too. Thanks Suz - we had a fantastic break.

We didn’t want to leave!

So happy we stayed at Warruga Shack - only wish we had booked for longer. The amazing afternoon sunsets by the outdoor fire pit were very special. The perfect place to spend quality time with friends who we had not seen for more than a year. The welcome treats were such a lovely touch. We had everything we needed to enjoy great dinners and breakfasts. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Orange.

Simply Perfect

We absolutely LOVED this place. Everything was thought of, beautiful place. We all want to come back. Everything was superb... from the cows at that gate on arrival, handwritten note & cookies & fresh flowers on arrival, sublime sunsets, we Loved the fire pit, loved the morning sun in the sunroom, laying around after dinner in the lounge room with the fire burning. Comfy beautiful bedrooms. Stunning sheets, Breakfast outside amongst the beautiful garden. Late checkout not a problem. So appreciated. We’ve decided next time we come- we don’t leave Warunga. We bring meals, cook in the very well equiped kitchen and stay put. THANKYOU TONOUR ANAZING HOSTS.

Wonderful stay!

A brilliant property in an idyllic location. Extremely comfortable & clean. Spacious bedrooms with beautiful ensuites. Kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of space . Great location, not too far from town but far enough away from the busyness.

A beautiful house on a beautiful.

We had the perfect girls weekend at the shack. The house was beautiful with all the bells and whistles and the afternoon sunset by the outdoor fire to die for. Highly recommend 👌

Beautiful country stay!

Wonderful country escape just outside of Orange - great location to be close enough to enjoy all Orange has to offer, but secluded enough to get away from it all. The Shack was charming & contained all the amenities we needed, plus more. Suz was a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

Fantastic time away - loved our stay at 'Warruga Shack'

My family and I spent 2 nights at 'Warruga Shack'. What a great place to stay! The house was fantastic. I loved that it had all the things that we needed to enjoy our time away and relax. I particularly loved the fireplace, which Suz had going for us prior to our arrival. This meant that the house was 'warm and toasty' as we entered through the door. We visited a few wineries over the weekend and enjoyed coming back to the 'Shack' to cook our family dinners, gather around the fire pit (although it was pretty cold outside so this wasn't for too long) and drink some of the yummy wines we had purchased. It was great!

wow what a great host, property and everything

It was a family celebration and the property gave us sunny corners to relax in with drinks and nibbles. The inside dining area was large so there was plenty of room for all, with the kitchen adjoining so we could all enjoy the time together. The bedrooms were well appointed with lovely linen, throws/blankets and reading material. The wonderful addition of eggs, butter, beautiful bread and biscuits,, were very much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Excellent property for a vacation

This property is very well done and is in a secluded location , excellent place to spend time with family and friends and get away from the city’s busy life. The Interirors are amazing with a modern kitchen and dining area, they also have a fireplace inside the living room and a fire pit in the backyard. There were some insects in some areas but other than that everything was fabulous in this property . Would highly recommend for a big group to stay in it.

Stunning countryside retreat

Warruga is a beautiful property with amazing views, not far from the township of Orange. Our group of six loved the cozy well appointed property and found Suz the host extremely helpful. Her communication was outstanding and the extra touches she left made our stay a complete joy.

Beautiful house made our stay in Orange amazing!

The house is beautifully designed and located on the top of a hill with gorgeous views of the country side. The Shack has all the ammenities you’ll need for a long weekend and is clean and spacious with a big garden to enjoy. It is located remotely outside town which gives you much privacy but you will need a car to get around. Suz was a great host and was really quick in all responses and provided helpful recommendations to make the most of our stay. We loved it and would go back again.

Amazing weekend getaway from Sydney

We had a wonderful time staying at Warruga shack. The house is set on a beautiful property with sweeping views and on our first night we were able to watch the sunset over the hills. It was very cold and snowing the weekend we were there but the shack was warm and cosy and the room with the fireplace was very nice for relaxing. Fireplace was easy to use and there were more than ample supplies for firewood for us. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen was incredibly well equipped with a state of the art cooktop. Bedrooms were all spacious and very comfortable and all had heating, which was great for this weekend. Three bathrooms was great for our group to feel like we all had our own space, and the king room has toys and books for children, which was great for our toddler. We didn’t get to use the outdoor area this weekend due to the weather but I imagine it would be a fantastic setting for an evening bbq. We would definitely come back here.

A spectacular rural getaway

Staying at Warruga Shack was such a joy from start to finish. We were looking for somewhere out in the country and this property delivered in every way. Outside - there were spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, and the only noises we heard all week were the magpies, galahs, kookaburras, the cows in the distance, and the wind through the pine trees. Inside - the ‘shack’ was beautifully fitted out with top of range appliances and exquisitely designed for comfort and style. It was a wonderful rural getaway and we can’t wait to come back to the shack! Jenny S

Beautiful, spacious and serene hilltop retreat.

Lovely, private, warm space to spend time with family / friends and use as a base for exploring the region. The house was equipped with everything we needed (and we like cooking), the appliances are good quality, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean - with great showers and reliable hot water. The property itself is gorgeous - there was room for the kids to explore and play, with sensational views over the landscape - especially at sunrise and sunset. Suz is an excellent communicator with good tips about local food and activities. We hope to stay there again.
