Hidden Gem is an apt description

This is the second time we have stayed at Hidden Gem & it is such a lovely little hide-away. The host is so lovely and helpful and the flat is so luxurious. Definitely recommend!

Sorry to get there so late

Thank you for so graciously welcoming us in so late. Finding your home in the dark and in the rain was difficult. Street lighting is poor, but we found you and your lights were on. Your space was great, we were very comfortable.

Wow! Comfort indeed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Christine’s sensational studio. Christine has thought of absolutely everything and the studio was fully kitted out. We could have happily stayed there for weeks. This accomodation had excellent security features and we had no hesitations leaving our belongings there. It is located in a peaceful and quiet area but also only a 20 minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of the city with a myriad of restaurants and activities to experience. We highly recommend this accomodation if you are looking to experience New Zealand’s capital.

The Hidden Gem was just that. Conveniently located in an Upper Hutt village, the apartment was private, quiet and well designed for travellers seeking both a place that feels like a home (efficient and well equipped kitchen and laundry; comfy couch and Netflix, homemade biscuits) but with some luxurious touches - like a large, stylish bathroom and huge, comfortable bed with beautiful linen. A gem of an owner of a gem of a property

Christine could not have been a better host. She was very responsive to our needs. She was very informative about where to go eat, places to see and parks to visit. We stayed for three months and was sad to say goodbye to her and her and the property. There was nothing amiss. It truly was a “hidden gem”!

This place is what it states - A hidden gem. Host Christine was very helpful for the stay. The place is very comfortable, clean and has everything you require. We stayed early September 2024 and wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast provided was amazing. Couldnt fault the accommodation. A lot of food places close by if you didnt want to cook. Definitely a place to stay if you are in the Upper Hutt region.
