Just a little rough
I have stayed at numerous short-term rentals over the past 7+ years, and I'm generally quite satisfied with them. However, my recent experience at this particular location in Champions Gate left me disappointed. Here are some aspects that I didn't appreciate:
1. The rental claimed to accommodate 10 guests, but there weren't enough utensils
2. Two of the king-size beds had broken middle support legs, which required multiple repairs during our stay.
3. While fixing the mattresses, we discovered a considerable mess underneath them.
4. Throughout the week, the pool had tiny insects, possibly due to the season.
5. The advertised game room was underwhelming, with a 1 dented ping pong ball and pool balls that didn't roll well due to missing chunks.
6. I had pre-paid for a BBQ three weeks prior to my visit, but upon arrival, there was no BBQ. The property manager offered her daughter's personal BBQ instead, claiming she was unaware of my rental request.
7. During registration, I was informed that they had emailed me to confirm the payment. It would have been more convenient if they had charged my card on file, not sure why they couldn’t
8. Despite having seven people in our group, we only had six chairs at the kitchen and patio table. It seems they need to invest in additional furniture instead of making excuses upon customers' arrival.
Overall, I felt somewhat deceived. While I love the Champions Gate area and plan to return, I will definitely choose a different house.
