The house was awesome. There was a few things broken when we got there. We tired to help them fix it but didn’t want to make it worse. But other than that it was overall a great stay and we had a blast!!
My wife and I brought our three kids (14, 12, and 10) up for a long weekend. Check in was perfect and the house was so comfortable. We really enjoyed the views and the fireplace. We went skiing, cooked, played games, and had a great time. The master bedroom didn’t have the sleigh bed that is advertised, but the rooms were spacious, the beds comfy, and we really had a blast. Unfortunately, we had to leave out a day early due to an incoming winter storm on the mountain and at our home in TN.
The cabin was exactly as described and was a great location for access to Beech Mountain. The only negative point we had is that the heat barely reached the lower floor bedroom. We slept in sweatshirts with 2 comforters and 4 blankets on us and were still freezing. We even messaged the hosts to make sure we didn’t miss separate controls for the heat downstairs. I would recommend this place to others but tell them to bring a space heater for the downstairs bedroom.
Great place to stay close to Beech Mt Skiing. House was well equipped, there were extra pillows and even 2 air mattresses, if needed. There were board games, for evening entertainment and even some sleds, which was awesome for all the snow we encountered!
There’s a lower area for extra parking, which was great because of all the snow and ice we couldn’t get up the driveway.
Chelsea, with the property management company, was great when we contacted her with an issue with checking out, due to the snow and ice.
Had a great weekend and made great memories!

Another great stay
This is our third time staying here. We love the home, the location, and it has all the amenities (kitchen needs, plenty of sleeping room, fireplaces, WiFi for activity planning and rainy weather binge watching. We've already booked our ski weekend for Jan 2023. Beware the dryer: there is no lint trap installed so it can be Thunderdome with socks (even expensive hiking ones) where 2 go in but only 1 come out. Wish I had noticed it before running some laundry.

From the owner: "We are so glad to have you back! I am terribly sorry to hear about the dryer issue. Our cleaner just informed me that the lint trap cover must have broken off. A new dryer is on its way, so we should be all set for you in January! Thanks for the 5 stars."

Cute Cabin for a Weekend Graduation Trip
We love Beech Mountain and have stayed several times in various cabins. This one is close to the top of our list of faves! I'll go ahead and address the very few "negatives" I noticed...STAIRS. If you have mobility issues AT ALL (pregnant, little kids, older...) you will struggle here. Lots of steps up to go inside the cabin, and the spiral staircase is a BEAST inside between the 2 levels. Very narrow steps, very narrow in width (heavier guests will be uncomfortable here) and super steep. Those things aside, very cute inside! Super clean and well appointed, though pics are a bit deceptive as far as size of common areas. Our family of 4 is perfectly comfortable BUT if we all wanted to sit and chat together, we'll need to all go downstairs to the living area there. My teens love that fact and have commandeered the top level as their own lol. Beds are memory foam and very supportive but comfy! Furniture well kept. Kitchen spotless and well stocked. 2 decks are relaxing with nice views. Bathrooms were spotless upon check in and plenty of towels. In addition to the standard beds in the listing, we also found a roll away bed available, plus an air mattress and additional mattress under one bed. Games, books, DVD's and PS3 plus games are available in the property! No need to get bored here lol. We would definitely book again, even with the stairs! *side note, I'm the only one who seems to think the stairs are scary in our group, so this may not be an issue for your group, but is worth noting for certain people*
The place was very clean. The decor was tasteful. There are 2 fireplaces that are woodburning but didn't realize that we had to go find our own firewood. We knew that the staircase was spiral but didn't realize how narrow and steep it was. Wouldn't recommend to people who are large or are older than 60. Also wouldn't recommend for young children. Beech Mountain is beautiful and sitting out on either deck is delightful. Many nice places to eat and plenty of hiking trails. A very relaxing visit.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Very clean but a few downfalls
Everything was great but the spiral staircase was annoying as the only way between the first and second floor inside. Then there's the master bedroom the furnace intake is running nonstop in this room;and new mattress was hard as a rock.

Hi Karen, thank you for your review. We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay for the most part! You are correct that the spiral staircase is the only indoor access between floors. This is indicated in the listing photos, and it's also very sturdy. We will be updating our listing to make this as clear as possible. We know that mattress taste is subjective, so we are sorry that the new Sealy memory foam mattress did not meet your preferences. We apologize for the noise of the furnace. We have not had any issues with it being too loud. We are glad that despite these concerns, everything else was great!
My mother and I stayed in this Beech Mountain retreat for the week while waiting to pick my kids up from summer camp. We really enjoyed our time there. The house was just as expected based on the information in the listing and the owner communicated readily with us. The amenities were all there: good wi-fi, Netflix, comfortable beds and cozy chairs for reading, etc. Most important to me, was that the house was clean. I always appreciate that. Thank you for a great week of relaxing and puttering around the mountains of North Carolina!

Epic vacation
My wife and 3 kids really enjoyed our stay at the house. It’s immaculately clean and a great location tucked in the mountains. It’s very close to the mountain for skiing and very convenient drive wise. We also loved the big lot for sledding and all the deer outside. We hope to stay here again.p and are grateful we were able to make family memories here.

From the owner: "Thank you, Brandon, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Please do come back to visit!"
Check in/check out process was great, communication with property contact person was easy. Everything you could need was there (small things were remembered to make stay nice) ...just bring food/drinks. Location was great. 2 mattresses were new and upgraded. Pictures are deceiving with size of living/dining/kitchen space for a larger family. Bathrooms upstairs were extremely small also. The only TV was on bottom level (only inside access is a very small, narrow, steep spiral staircase which is hard to descend if older or bigger) and In 1 bedroom (not the master). Over all a great place for a few days to enjoy the beauty that Beech has to offer.
