We had such an amazing time here, it was beautiful. The property was very clean. We loved the location and the ski out/ski down access! We hope to come back next year!
Property is beautiful. Well maintained. It is difficult to get to in the snow, which is why 4 wheel is required. We didn't find it possible to ski out from the house, and had to go to the end of the road to do so. So, if you are looking for a typical ski in/ski out, this isn't it. But, we make it work and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
First of all the home was absolutely beautiful and there was plenty of room for all of us. The views were AMAZING! The heated floors were a bonus! But... we really rented this home because it said ski in / ski out, at least that's what it said in the description. It could of been a ski out if you could find a trail but when there's snow and a very steep hill to go up and down, there was no way for any of skiers to go down it without getting hurt or passing out from the vigorous workout it took to get down or up. It took my husband literally 20 minutes to get back up the hill. So to us it was very misleading. We did get accommodated a little by the owner. We were just really bummed about spending a lot of money for ski in and ski out when we couldn't use it. Our people are very good skiers and snowboarders so it wasn't that they were inexperienced.

Hi Kelly, the homeowner would like to share the following message: "We’re glad you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for the feedback regarding the ski-in/out. We have taken steps to improve the ski-out trail and have added details to the listing to ensure that all prospective guests have the ability to understand the ski-in/out options before they book. Thanks again!"
Great house, beautiful property! The house is ski in/ski out IF you are a proficient skier and don’t mind skiing on the road or taking a short drive. Unfortunately, we had littles who were new to skiing so this didn’t work for us-but we didn’t let that stop us from having a great time!

From the owners: "Thank you for the great review, Jessica. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you back any time!"
The home is beautiful but that is where it ends for us.
Upon arriving, a dresser drawer in the bedroom had adult men underwear and adult diapers in it. One diaper was used and was still sitting inside the underwear. 🤢
The downstairs heater didn’t work. We had 4 children under the age of 12 using these beds. The rooms did not get above 58 our first night. No one slept from how cold it was. House manager was responsive and brought space heaters for the next night.
You are 30 minutes from anything, when we went to grill our second night, both propane tanks were empty.
Our biggest complaint, you are responsible for your trash… this is not disclosed. This means placing food trash/dirty diapers in your car and driving 30 minutes to the town collection site and throwing it away. This is a huge hassle and extremely inconvenient. Especially leaving town when your car is loaded to go home.
The home is a beautiful home with beautiful views. We will not stay here again. For this price point, there should be propane available, heaters should be working, drawers should be emptied and you should not have to dispose of your trash.

From the owner: "Thank you for your review as well as your business, and we apologize for the issues during your stay. We responded to the heating system issue as quickly as we could (which happened during our first cold spell) and assure you that the system is now fully repaired. We will discuss the issue regarding items left by the previous guest in the drawers with our property manager and make sure that the cleaners do a better job of consistently checking all drawers. Regarding the grill propane tanks, we again apologize (both were filled recently) and will monitor this inventory more closely in the future and add a third tank. Finally, we understand your concerns regarding the trash disposal and will make sure it is mentioned more prominently in the listing disclosures prior to completion of any booking. This is a policy shared by most house rentals in Angel Fire due to the lack of trash pickup by the Village and shortage of cleaning staff in the region, but we will continue to look for ways to improve this arrangement. Thanks again for the feedback and we will use it to serve all our guests better."
We had a great time here. It was a new, clean, secluded, high-end property with the most amazing view. When you stay here, you are literally at the summit of Angel Fire Resort! Keep in mind that means a 15+ minute trip down the mountain to get into town and having to adapt to very high altitude (10,000+ feet) during your first couple of days. You're also very close to the lift and zip lines, which is probably great for skiing but not great if you want to be "away from it all" in the summer. For us, the balcony view, the quality of the home, and the ability to hike in the surrounding forest made it all worthwhile. We would definitely stay here again.

Immaculate home and views
A nice place to get away from the heat and enjoy the cooler air in the mountains of Angel Fire. The house was perfect for our party of five (one couple and three adult boys). The house is immaculate and very well appointed. It is at the top of the mountain with privacy and the view off the back deck overlooks the valley of Angel Fire and Eagles Nest Lake.
Enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely book again!
Location was amazing, although it was a bit of a trek to reach the top of the mountain. Although, once on deck and after seeing the amazing view, it was worth it. Not sure about the drive in the winter, but for spring it was fine. All areas were well maintained and cozy.
We felt like check-out was a bit early with all the added chores that were required, which I understand is most often necessary with rentals, but we didn't feel like we were really able to enjoy our last morning or the view, as we were running around removing sheets, towels, collecting trash, putting away clean dishes, loading the dishwasher, etc.
Great property with plenty of beautiful views. The cabin was well put together with attention to cleanliness. Water pressure was really low made it difficult to take a shower and wash dishes. Emailed property manager twice for questions I had no response was able to reach property manager on a phone call.

Hi Abram, the homeowner would like to share the following: "Thank you for the review, and we apologize for the low water pressure. This was due to a break in the Village's water supply line, which they repaired shortly after your departure. We will review with our property manager to make sure we are being as responsive as possible. Thanks again!"
This is a beautiful home with spectacular views. It is important for potential renters to know that it is located at the top of the mountain and is a very long drive down to the village. Bringing all the necessary food items will prevent unnecessary trips to eat. The kitchen has very nice appliances to facilitate cooking. The ski in/out was a great option and saved a ton of time. Our only complaint was the requirement to take all your trash to the recycling center in Angel Fire especially when your vehicle is completely loaded for the drive home. I would have expected a high priced VRBO to handle this for the guests.
We loved the cabin! Great views and plenty of room for all of us!
Cons: driveway difficult to navigate with children and luggage due to ice/mud hole, further from town than expected with rough road to and from

Hi Tommy, thanks for your review. This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "We're glad you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for your feedback regarding the low spot on the driveway. We are aware of the issue and will have it resolved shortly after the 2020/2021 skiing season ends and before the summer season starts. We hope to see you back soon, thanks again!"
Our stay was terrific! The photos don't do the views justice--we loved going to sleep seeing stars and waking up to see the sunrise over the mountains.
The home was beautifully decorated, with comfy beds, heated floors, a great kitchen and plenty of room for our whole family. We enjoyed sledding in the yard, seeing mule deer and elk across the street and relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of skiing.
The management company was very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Overall, a great experience.
We will be back!
Home was beautiful, with a beautiful view. Driveway was not cleared so unloading vehicles was difficult. There were no cleaning supplies, no amenities (no coffee, no coffee filters, no trash bags, no paper towels, soap etc). A family literally needs to pack like they are going camping. It was very frustrating to get up the mountain to the home and then have to go back down to town for items this costly of a Vrbo should supply.

The homeowner would like to share the following message: "Thank you for the review, and we hope you enjoyed the many features of the property. We're sorry to hear about the issues during your stay. We include coffee as part of our standard welcome amenity; paper towels and trash bags should be stocked before every arrival, so it sounds like these items were mistakenly not provided during a busy time of year. Regarding snow removal, our policy is to promptly plow the driveway whenever there is a snowfall of four inches or greater. We have reviewed these issues in detail with our property management provider to make sure all of these policies are followed consistently for every guest. Additionally, we have taken steps to ensure that a full set of cleaning equipment is available for guest use in the laundry room, and a set of cleaning supplies is underneath the kitchen island sink. Thanks again for the feedback."
