About this property
Elizabeth's Retreat - Garden View
Bright and cheery with splashes of color amongst soft yellows and taupe, Elizabeth’s Retreat enjoys a queen-size pillow-top mattress with a beautiful white iron frame, a small sitting area, and desk area with windows to the south and west, the latter having a garden view. The entry area now restored to the original hardwood floor. The private bath has a large walk-in shower with handrail and molded seat. The Oliver Phelps house was built in 1813 and expanded in 1830. An example of Greek revival architecture, it retains lovely features for today’s guests: twelve-foot ceilings, wide plank floors, blown glass window panes, old-growth trees on the grounds, and the spaciousness of a great Federal period home.
Experience Canandaigua from one of five comfortably appointed and spacious guest rooms, all with private en-suite baths, several with fireplaces. Our home is tastefully furnished with period antiques, but updated for all modern conveniences, including WiFi and central air conditioning. Awake to a delicious three course gourmet breakfast served with local juices, coffee, or tea.

This is a very nice B&B, great location, well maintained and friendly owner.
Our room was quite comfortable, roomy and clean as one would expect in such a nice house. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to our preferences. We were also given some choices on what to see in the area. All in all, a very pleasurable stay and we will aim to get back down the road.

Wonderful accommodations, delicious breakfast, gracious and knowledgeable host/owner!
The Owner/Host was so helpful, suggesting activities to our liking, cooking breakfasts tailored to my dietary needs and knowledgeable about the history of the Finger Lakes Region. The discussions at breakfast with her and the other guests were one of the highlights of our trip. The location of the Inn was within walking distance of the downtown area and the beautiful historic neighborhoods.

The Innkeeper, Karin, is such a wonderfully fun personality! Love her inviting aura! And breakfast is amazing!
Karin was great ---helpful and warm! She is also knowledgeable about the area, and has recommendations for things to do and see. The rooms were charming! Karin's breakfasts were delicious, fresh, locally sourced, and very unusual (in a good way!)
