Sunny, luxurious guest wing on a stunning hill property looking from the Canterbury Plains to the Alps. Large bedroom, kitchenette, huge bathroom with bath, big dressing room to unpack fully. Private outdoor dining area looking over a forest and the Alps. Private patio with hot tub – perfect after a day of skiing or just to take some time out to soak up the stars!

The second room can have a queen bed OR 3 x single beds - let us know the layout you want.

Our Neighbourhood
Picturesque rural village with large trees and elegant homesteads. On the edge of the Port Hills on Highway 25 to Akaroa. There are numerous cafes, boutiques and wineries in the area as well as a farmers market. 20-25 minutes to the centre of Christchurch, 45 minutes to the bays in the Lyttleton Harbour or Sumner Beach. Approx 90 minutes from Castle Hill and ski fields.

Just what we needed, short getaway close to home. Apartment was perfect and had everything we needed. Louise was lovely and communication was great. Lovely and peaceful stay. Highly recommend.

Incredible property

Louise is an amazing and very accommodating host. A lot of thought has gone into the spaces she has set up for guests. Would visit again in a heartbeat. The property is beautiful, set back from a quiet dead end gravel road. The view from the lawn is incredible, a wide view of the farmland below. Use of pool and sauna, plus a spa pool for stargazing.. this place really is a treat. This property also has a breathtaking walk down into the bush in the valley below, complete with a secret cave to find along the way. Louise was also able to organize a visit from a local masseuse, which was an incredibly relaxing way to end my visit. Will definitely be back whenever I can visit Christchurch again.

Louise has an amazing location with an incredible view. All the extras to make the stay special.

Whether your looking for a place to just relax or as a base for adventures in the Area, it has everything one might need. Close to Christchurch, Akaroa is easy to get to as well. The view is outstanding. Just a little piece of paradise. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, hot tub for relaxing after a busy day and a pool for those that might be so inclined. I’d highly recommend the property which I will book again if I’m up that way. ❤️

Wonderfully relaxing holiday location

Louise was a most welcoming host, and rearranged the beds so that our sons each had their own bed. This property is set on the hill with lovely views across the Canterbury plains. We particularly liked being able to use the tennis court, hot tub and swimming pool.

I live on and operate this gorgeous 5 acre rural property which I run as a healing sanctuary. You won’t find a TV here, but you will find native birds, sunshine with amazing views, spa, sauna and pool, tennis, and gorgeous walks in private reserve with native plantings.
