Cozy Trapp Family Chalet in the beautiful Stowe, VT mountains from the famous movie "The Sound of Music." One week available 6/6/26 to 6/13/26. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. 2 BR, 2 bath, plus pullout,1100 sq. ft. The living room is spacious and boasts a beautiful wood stove, free firewood, TV/DVD, and patio overlooking view. 8 mi to Mt Mansfield for fabulous hiking, golf, tennis and alpine slide, and there is more of the same on the beautiful grounds of Trapp Family Lodge with its 100 km of wooded trails. The quaint town of Stowe has many attractions including Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, Apple Cider Farms, Boutique Shopping and great restaurants. Dine in at the chalet or out at the Trapp Restaurant or Pub. Be sure to catch the Brew Pub with Austrian Bakery and t the Bierhall!! Lots of activities on site for families with kids including indoor pool, fitness center, rock wall, spa, rec room, health or craft classes, movies, wine tasting, and brew pub. Bike center on site as well. Email for more enthusiastic details. If ever you wanted to get away on a retreat, this is it. The Sound of Music lives on at this lovely venue with rich history. Handicap accessibility can be arranged if requested in advance.

I've been vacationing at TFL since my kids were little in the 80s. It is beautiful, high quality, relaxing and perfect for family "restoration." Board games, movies, sports and recreation all lend themselves to families growing close. Now my husband and I go as a twosome and find it enriching for our relationship as well.

Why they chose this property

Nowhere is there a more beautiful setting for this price. We lived 2 hrs away so it was a low cost vacation for our family every year that was fun, no matter which season we chose. There is something to do in every season. We love the story of The Sound Of Music and the rich history behind it. Spending time on this property brings you back to the wonderful movie which suits the whole family.
