Absolutely the Best
Myself, together with another 2 60plus women, stayed in this wonderfully central rental for 4 nights. Our purpose was to hike to as many waterfalls in the Wells Gray park as possible. We accomplished 7 main attractions, and hiked an average of over 10 km's a day. The host was very accommodating and had a wonderful with a firepit, BBQ, gas firepit and a glorious hot tub to soak in after our daily adventures. We saw a black bear and a "cinnamon" bear while staying here.

Leisure
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Its a beautiful property and very well equipped. The host has taken a lot of thjngs into consideration, including dry fruits 😀 Deborah communicated very well and responded promptly. The backyard was well equipped with tons of firewood and enjoyed the fire pit thoroughly. The house is very comfortable and well decorated. A few suggestions: a second shower can easily be accommodated in the second level washroom as the bedroom adjacent to it is quite big. This will provide a lot of convenience for a group of 6 or more. The kitchen sink can be kept in a better conditon by just cleaning it with bleach. A microwave would be very helpful, as there was no dishwasher. Washing dishes for every little thing took a bit more time. (Not that its a problem, but less dishes used.) The main washroom on the main floor coild have an edge olin the shower to avoid a lot of water pouring out when showering. Lovely stay overall and would book again.

Clearwater cabin is the best
We have come to Clearwater for disc golf tournaments several times and have stayed at this cabin twice. The location is perfect, and it is set up so nicely for hosting a group of friends or a family get-together.

Every one of us loved every minute!!
The perfect place for our family reunion! Overall... the Hideaway was exactly what we needed as a group. Very unique... appreciated all the little knick-knacks and decorative touches... inside and out. The surroundings were perfect... we got up close and personal with the beautiful Clearwater Lake, Spahats Falls, Dawson Falls, Helmcken Falls and Moul Falls. The golf course too! The only downside, which was beyond anyone's control, was the forest fire situation. Smoke was hanging around the first couple of days... then it cleared away! Campfires which we love, were banned but thankfully had the propane firebowl!

Fantastic Getaway!
We went to the "Wells Grey Hideaway" for a girls weekend and we all were in awe of how great the place is! Fantastic view of the mountains and golf course, no neighbours in sight, super cute cabin with loads of sleeping space, gorgeous updated bathroom, cute country kitchen, and hot tub ready to go! All the girls were saying how they'd like to come back and how we barely scratched the surface of what Wells Grey has to offer. The hosts were fantastic communicators who made the whole process easy.

Well Grey Hideaway
Very nice property deep in Wells Grey provincial park. Spacious cabin with high ceilings. They have bug nets installed with strong magnets on the doors. Had everything we needed in a property, and was a positive experience for sure. A good recommendation for a big group to stay.

About the host

Hosted by Deborah Hinger

Host profile image
I originally grew up in Alberta, moved to BC in 1993. I lived in Haida Gwaii for almost 25 years.. Had an RV park and resort there and thoroughly enjoyed the people I met through the years. So decided to join VRBO upon moving here in 2022.

Why they chose this property

Great neighbours & thoroughly enjoy the golf course in my free time. I love hiking to the waterfalls! Town is close but far enough out that I feel absolutely secluded!

What makes this property unique

The views from the sundeck are absolutely stunning, trophy mountain range, golf course, lots of wildlife; bear, moose, cougars, links, Bobcat, Martin, squirrels, birds, etc.!!
