We really encourage our guests to wander and explore all we have on offer.

There is ample parking . We have had guests bring boats and these can be easy accommodated at the Gatehouse.

Other things to note

★ CLEANING & SANITIZATION VILLA ★
Health, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.
Most guests comment on how clean our villa is on arrival.

★ CLEANING & SANITISATION HOT TUB ★
We do not use any chemicals in our hot tub.
We freshly fill it with pure mountain spring water.
We then empty it after every guest and sanitise it before refilling.

★ OPTIONAL DAILY CLEANING SERVICE ★
Whilst our accommodation is Self-Catered, many guests have asked for a daily cleaning service. Any why not, you are on holidays.
We offer a daily room clean. Our housekeeper can come to your villa and service your room.
This includes making of beds, new towels and a general tidy up.
The charge is $65 per day, please let us know if you'd like this service when booking.

Sensational property

This is our second time staying here. Once for our Honeymoon and now for our anniversary. Everything about this place is amazing. Location, amenities, service and ambiance. A very relaxing and luxurious stay.

Wonderful hosts and gorgeous home

We dream about returning to this beautiful place. Theresa and Matt are wonderful hosts and the home and grounds are immaculate. We especially enjoyed the spectacular view and louging on the expansive deck. The serene hiking paths were an nice surprise.

Returning guests! We love this place and plan to make it a yearly stay. The place is so warm and welcoming. We even received a welcome back basket. The thoughtfulness was very sweet. I cant fault anything about the place or management!

Heavenly paradise

Everything about the villa (and the estate as a whole) is the pinnacle of first class. Its even nicer in person than the pics and videos. Concierge/host Theresa and Matt are wonderful as well. We were between this and another property in the bay of islands, and so glad we chose this one; would strongly recommend this over any other vacation stay for fellow travelers. We will be back.

Paradise

Amazing property, the views are breathtaking, especially at night while watching the stars and listening to the wildlife from the spa! House was amazingly clean, rooms and bathrooms where spacious. We even did a night bush walk which was so peaceful. There is so much privacy as the property is extremely large with lots of things to see and do. Theresa and Matt are the sweetest people. We had a little emergency -nothing too major, however they went out of their way to ensure everything was ok and we were comfortable which we appreciated! I wouldn't be able to fault anything with this property! We are already looking forward to our next visit to your piece of paradise!

Special Retreat

We had a glorious weekend at Kauri Hills Estate. The luxurious estate is so special, with magnificent breathtaking views and a tastefully landscaped garden/ nature reserve. The villa was quirky, soft and comfortable, beautifully decorated with all the high-end amenities you need, plus a great sound system and a spa with no chemicals. We had such an amazing and relaxing retreat. Joe and Rob were next-level hosts - they spoilt us with an amazing star-gazing evening (a must-do if you book at Kauri Hills Estate). And they truly made our stay so special and memorable. Their service was impeccable, and Rob and Joe know how to give their guests a personal touch and make them feel welcome. There is so much more that Kauri Hills Estate offers that is not easily found in other stays - if you are looking for that special getaway - This is a great place to be- A Hidden Gem!

A real Gem

I have stopped reviewing places we stay as most reviews take a lot of time to do properly and are soon swamped by useless other reviews which are not truly helpful. This is this case I think a review is warranted. The Villa is truly a special place and the everything I had hoped when I had booked. Peaceful, beautiful view, well organised, very clean, thoughtful generous hosts and well worth the cost. We did not feel we were going into weekender where the owner leaves junk in every cupboard. Everything needed was there to cook and relax. This was truly a holiday home worth staying for a week. The photos on the net were accurate and not taken many years ago. The villa was private, isolated, and set high overlooking Whanaroa Habour. The surrounding area was great for walking and we spent a week here with something new to do every day. The Villa is one of those special places high on our list of places we would return. We are only top end travellers and have stayed in 17 houses throughout the world in the last two years, so we have considerable experience.

"Great View, Brilliant Villa, Great Stay, Superb in every way"

"We have just spent 2 nights here. This has been by far the best place that we have stayed. The accommodation was excellent, clean, and immaculate with a good kitchen, dishwasher, and washing and drying facilities. It was warm with a floor-heated bathroom and loads of hot water. Excellent and very friendly management. Thank you, Theresa. The parking is ample. The hot tub was excellent and the view from the house and the deck was amazing. It is a short walk to the beautiful bush walk, easily manageable for all ages. We have nothing to moan about and would recommend this place without hesitation. The finest New Zealand accommodation. Thank you for an awesome experience."

Absolutely amazing stay, well above expectation.

The property is amazing, very high quality construction and fittings, extremely clean with magnificent views over harbour. Once inside the house you're in a world on your own, very private. The bush walk has been done very well with foot bridges and plenty of seating along the stream, the entire stay was a pleasure, the dwelling is well equiped so no need to leave. We are definitely going to return.

Exquisite

The property is very high quality - beautiful rain shower's, triple glazing, and lots of high end touches. The setting is simply divine. The view down to the bay, listening to the kiwis at night from the spa pool on the deck, comfy beds, everything about our stay was exquisite. This was a taste of luxury and peace all at the same time. Thank you so much to our hosts. Magic. :)

We do since 2006 extensive pest control to support bird live and trees.
As a developer it was for me a happy passion to develop in a sensible way Kauri Hill Estate in this old recovering bush of 60 ha with it's high ridges 150 m over sea level a complete infrastructure with 3.5 km private road + beautiful board- and bush walks , relaxing ponds, streams, landscape with native plants + in this enviroment well intergrated super modern houses , sun set view platforms,picnic area with barbecue, bird feeding stations, Helicopter Pad to intern standard, a gatehouse for management and maintance ...ect.
