Beautiful resort, messy check out process.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. It’s on the smaller side but staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. My only warning to those considering booking through VRBO is that there is a third party involved that links renters from VRBO to the property. They collect the funds and then are supposed to transfer them. However they didn’t on the day I checked out. And it led to a situation I did not enjoy where I was chased out of the hotel and told that there was a problem with *my* payment when there wasn’t as the room was already paid for. I was very unhappy and confused by that experience. They did get it straight within a few minutes, explained the situation, and told me it wasn’t my fault. Still, I was upset that they did not catch this mistake prior to their accusation as it was made very publicly. The hotel was nice enough that I do plan to stay there again but if I have a repeat experience like the one I have detailed here, I will take my business elsewhere. Just beware before you book through VRBO.
