Disappointing property - last stay with Sonder
I am sad to say this will be our last stay at a Sonder. I have consistently recommended Sonder to friends and family, but no longer. We paid for an early check-in at 2 pm, arrived at 3 pm and they were still cleaning (they did refund the cost). This property was beaten up, and not well maintained. Rooms were dirty, construction was bad, and appliances did not work or were malfunctioning. We visited the rooftop terrace and found a man smoking weed, The Media Room and Game Room were dark and locked. The lounge looked literally like no picture they had posted and was not maintained. We mentioned this all to the front desk staff and were told to take photos to submit to Sonder..which seemed like a pain and would have impacted our day. The room barely had lamps, and not many flat surfaces to even put your toothbrush. The floor was beyond sticky, and they remopped, but it was still gross. The coffee maker leaked coffee out the bottom and not into the pot, the refrigerator door would not seal so everything was coolish. The group started to joke we felt like we had been Sondermized the the stay had so many hiccups and issues. So while I went into this stay as a big fan of Sonder, I left as a never stay there again person.
