About this property
Bear Haven – Pet-Free, Cozy as Can Be
Welcome to Bear Haven Cabin — our family’s mountain hideout where the coffee’s strong, the air’s clean, and the wildlife is nearby.
From time to time we rustle up a good ol’ discount or seasonal special — reach out to us and see what we got cookin’.
We built this place with comfort, quiet, and a bit of cowboy soul in mind. Whether you’re wranglin’ kids, escaping city dust, or just wantin’ a cozy spot to relax, Bear Haven’s got what you need — and then some.

About the host
Hosted by Mark

Howdy, friends — we’re Mark & Suzie, the folks behind Bear Haven Cabin.
Mark’s been makin’ memories in these mountains since he was knee-high to a pine cone. Back in the 1970’s his folks staked their claim on a little cabin in Big Bear City. He was just a young buck then, chasin’ squirrels and dreamin’ big under the pines. Miss Suzie came along in high school — quiet gal with a heart of gold — and once he brought her up here, she was hooked faster than a trout on a ten-cent lure.
We live not far from Bear Haven these days, and when we ain’t wanderin’ the country for work, you’ll find us up here, sittin’ on the porch with coffee in hand and a quilt in our laps, soakin’ in the peace and mountain breeze.
Over the years, we’ve bunked in cabins from Tombstone, Az to Whistler, BC, to the verdant hills of Vermont — some mighty fine, some... well, let’s just say they had more critters than character. We built Bear Haven with all those trail lessons in mind: comfort, charm, and a touch of home spun class.
Bear Haven Cabin is our way of sharing that mountain peace with folks like you — a place to kick your boots off, breathe deep, and make your own good mountain memories under the pines.

Why they chose this property
The first time we laid eyes on Bear Haven, we knew she was somethin’ special. Tucked up in the High Timber Ranch part of Moonridge, she’s sittin’ proud on a corner lot with a big ol’ backyard that’s mostly flat — perfect for kids, critters, or just stretchin’ your legs. This neck of the woods don’t get much traffic, so it’s mighty peaceful, with open space all around beggin’ to be explored.
Step inside and you’re up on the second floor, walkin’ right into the great room — bright, open, and full of natural light spillin’ through the windows. It’s the kind of space where folks can gather ‘round and make memories — whether it’s cheerin’ on the big game with a cold one, watchin’ a movie, tradin' stories by the fire, or just gettin’ lost in a good book.
And when it comes to location, Bear Haven’s sittin’ pretty — just a short ride from the slopes, the golf course, and the Moonridge Zoo. Whether you're here for snow, sunshine, or a little bit of both, this place is ready to welcome you home.
