Great stay on Head Lake

We enjoyed a relaxing week at Natasha's beautiful cottage. We found it had all the things needed for a great vacation week... clean cottage, clean lake and comfortable beds. Gardens, fire pit and dock were all great places to relax! Host was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a very fun and relaxing week at this wonderful cottage. Our family enjoyed its rustic charm, cozy atmosphere and quiet mornings on the dock. Amazing sunset views and starry nights, punctuated by Loon calls. Fishing on this lake is really fun - perch, walleye, muskie, large and smallmouth bass. Great selection of watercraft to choose from. Adventurous teenagers will have fun exploring the rocky landscape and small islands. Natasha was a great host and checked on us a few times to make sure our stay was going well. We would love to return!

Lakefront not far from Toronto

About 1 hr 45 mins from Toronto. Pretty lake, great for swimming. Main road is close by and you can hear the traffic but that didn’t ruin the stay. Cottage was a bit dusty and only 4 dinner plates. Lots of watercraft’s to choose from, nice property. Close drive to town for grocery store etc. Natasha was helpful and even allowed us a late check out.

Perfect escape

We had a lovely time at this cottage. It was exactly what we needed. The dock and water was beautiful which is where we spent most of our time. The added bonus of 3 paddle boards was so enjoyable! Lovely tiers from dock to fire pit to cottage outdoor wrap around deck gave us multiple spots to enjoy at different times of day. Kitchen was the perfect size with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back! Communication with the owners was exceptional! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful cottage!

Relaxation at its Best!!!

Our stay was everything we expected and more!!! The property is very private, incredibly clean with picturesque setting on a quiet and peaceful lake. All amenities we required were provided. A well thought out shoreline / property layout from the swimming raft to the dock, fire pit, natural stone stairs and the view from the deck was incredible....especially sunsets. Lots of activities for the kids to do all day, even on a rainy day!!! The property hosts provided great communication and made sure our stay was top notch. We would recommend this destination to all who want to just unwind and relax from reality or enjoy playing on the water.

Excellent stay

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cottage. The host was very responsive and helpful, and made efforts to make sure we had what we needed. The swimming was excellent, and had a floating dock, our kids swam all day. There were plenty of watercraft options as well. The fire pit area was near the water, and had great views of the sunset. Hummingbirds visited multiple times per day. The kitchen was well equipped. Good indoor options for our one rainy day (games, nice size TV with satellite, books). Overall, we had a great time and would stay there again for sure.

Great getaway

This was our first time at this cottage. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful to kayak and swim in. The property was well maintained and very private. We did have a small issue, which we contacted the host. They were able to contact someone to fix the problem right away. We would definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful July getaway at this lakefront cottage! It was the perfect spot to cool off during the hot summer days — with the lake a few steps away and plenty of fun lake toys for the whole family to use. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was quiet and peaceful. Our family loved relaxing in the evenings with board games. Check-in was very easy, and the host was friendly, responsive, and helpful. A great spot for a relaxing - we’d love to come back!

We were very happy with our stay!The check in process was very easy and the pre-arrival communication was good. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, with coffee maker, microwave, toaster, air fryer, and blender. Lots of cutlery/bbq utinsels, glasses, etc. The fans in the bedrooms were welcome as it was a hot weekend. All the recreational equipment (badminton, SUPs, boats, dock, outdoor table, bbq, muskoka chairs) were in good condition and clean. The water quickly drops to about 5-7 feet off the left end (facing the lake) of the dock, it was clear and no weeds. The Wifi worked perfectly for us, and we appreciated being able to use the smart speaker (Siri) when indoors.

Great for the family

A beautiful piece of land. Quiet and peaceful. Owners have tried to think of everything to make your stay easy. A great selection of boats and paddle boards. Several fish poles to use. We would love to come back.

Lakeside heaven

Our stay started with the owner contacting and answering all our questions. She was so helpful throughout the stay. Cottage is located in the most picturesque setting on a calm, weed free lake. We learned how to kayak and tried our hand at standup paddle boarding. A great week

Thanksgiving family weekend

We enjoyed the tastefully decorated, quaint cottage at the shoreline of Head lake. The view from the cottage and deck was stunning and has easy acces to the lake for fun on the water. The weather (especially the cold wind) this time of the year is less suited for swimming and watersport. It’s for sure wonderful in the warmer seasons. We kept the inside of the cottage cozy and warm with the wood burning fireplace, adding that Thanksgiving ambience. While the kitchen was well equipped it was a bit small to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner but the outside bbq and fireplace offered plenty of room to make it all work. We enjoyed the fall colours and the first snow of the season and met with a number of friendly locals.

Perfect family holiday

Incredible stay and amazing cottage. Natasha thought if everything and really provided all we needed for a great stay. We stayed in September and the water was still warm enough to swim, but very fresh! Lots of great boat rides :) The highway across the water was louder than we expected it to be, with big trucks and motorcycles driving along the highway. Otherwise a really amazing trip!

Picture Perfect Cottage

This was our first visit to this cozy and picturesque cottage, and hope to be back again next summer! Spacious, clean, and well-appointed, this cottage is situated on a beautiful and very private property with a large wrap-around deck and an idyllic shoreline. Our family had a great time relaxing at the waterfront with the many toys (we especially loved the paddle boards, paddle boat, and kayaks) and swimming to the floating dock. We also enjoyed several campfires by the lake, stargazing, and seeing all of the wildlife as well - squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, blue jays, hummingbirds too numerous to count, and even caught a few small fish from the dock. We also appreciated the modern kitchen and bathroom, and all of the beds were very comfortable. Natasha went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and was quick to respond when contacted. Nothing but good things to say about our stay, exactly what we were looking for!

A perfect cottage week!

We spent a week at Head Lake and it was a wonderful experience. The cottage was perfect for our group of 6 (two families including a 5 year old and a baby). Everything we needed was available at the cottage so we didn't have to leave. The lake is beautiful, amazing swimming right off the docks, lots of water crafts to use, fire pit was in a perfect location to watch the sun set. Natasha was very responsive to any questions we had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will definitely rent again next year!

Amazing sunsets

This place is exactly as described and shown on pictures - even better! Place is clean, cozy, private surrounded by trees with lake access. The owners Natasha and Leon are caring and very responsive - you can't ask for a better hosts! The sunsets are amazing - I was waiting all day for the evening so I could look at the beautiful lake and exceptional sunset. Our family enjoy the cottage immensely, did not want to go back to the busy city lives and if possible we would like to go back in the future. Thank you Natasha and Leon!
