Cabin
We planned a very short (2 night) getaway. Locating the rental was a bit difficult (not clearly marked). Overall, the cabin was nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the smell throughout the cabin was completely overwhelming. The second bedroom area was totally exposed with no way to cover any of the windows. The pictures of the cabin are quite nice but beware of no privacy if you are coming with children. This cabin is two separate units. I am not sure if there was anyone in the bottom unit when we arrived. My mother and I did not feel safe with my two very small children here. We did not stay or even unpack. The combination of no privacy with the overwhelming smell was too much for us. We were only there for about 5 minutes before locking up and leaving.

Thanksgiving
We just got back home from a stay at the Georgia Peach for Thanksgiving. First, I think it important to cover the “cons” of the property. 1. If you are looking for a private cabin in the woods, this isn’t what you are getting. It’s more like a condo with several others around it. The online pictures do oversell the privacy. 2. Yes, evidently the staff stay in the apartment below. They were extremely nice and never bothered us at all. The only issue is as mentioned in prior reviews is evidently they smoke and it seems to permeate through the air ducts into the upper unit, especially the bedroom. 3. Upon arrival it was a bit confusing to locate the cabin, but the property manager answered immediately when I called. Maybe put a little more directions in the check in email. Now for the “pros”. 1. Pictures online are very accurate to what the interior looked like. It is cozy, cute, and extremely clean. 2. The cabin was well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. We were able to cook our entire Thanksgiving meal with the items in the cabin. 3. We had plenty of towels and washcloths. 4. The convenience to Helen was awesome. 5. Roku, DVD player, Dish Network, and WiFi worked perfectly. Overall we had one of the best Thanksgivings we’ve ever had at this place. Good memories made and that’s what matters. We were not there to sit in the cabin the whole time so it not being secluded didn’t bother us at all. When we were there at the cabin it was relaxing and peaceful. I’d likely book this place again.

A little pricey for what it is, limited privacy
Overall we had a fine stay, but I don’t know that we would stay here again and probably not for the same price Good: - Cabin was clean and in a quiet and peaceful location - Indoor fireplace with plenty of firewood - The caretaker Derek is friendly and explained a known issue he was fixing with the microwave, and welcomed us to the property with kindling for the fireplace Bad: - The privacy of the unit is definitely oversold in the listing, where it says guests may be present at the bottom floor unit. The bottom floor is seemingly where the caretaker(s) for the entire cabin complex live and there were multiple people/vehicles coming and going all weekend. While the different units do have separate entrances, there is an internal staircase with a door at the top that has no lock or deadbolt, which leads right to the living room of this unit. We did not venture farther than poking our head down the stairs to find out if there was a door or lock at the bottom. There is not really a private yard as advertised. - Noticeable smell of cigarette smoke even though the property is listed as non-smoking - The top lid of the toilet was removed when we arrived at the cabin and the flapper chain was disconnected, ended up fixing ourselves - Missing bare essentials (sponge for the kitchen sink, matches/lighter for the fireplace) - Multiple lights/switches not working - A/C seemingly not working - adjusting the thermostat had no impact on temperature readout and it ran a little warm during our stay

Minimally supplied
Positive first. Hot water. Cabin cute and clean. Negatives: no can opener, one blanket for two beds, two dish towels and rags in kitchen, two towels and rags in bathroom., no salt and pepper, minimum glasses and silverware, toilet handled kept slipping off, microwave was not working, dishwasher would work when algnrd correctly which was different ult in the amount of light, had to take out light bulbs wher we didn’t need them and put them where we wanted light , the heat pump did not work if the down stairs unit had air on, and the furniture was low for me in the living room and bathroom. Derrick was very helpful including coming to meet us. He provided more silverware, glasssed, dish soap, space heTet, more bathroom and kitchen light e , salt and pepper, and eke try can opener. I had to move furniture around to get a good grip out of th sofa and toilet. The laminate was very slippery. One other good think. A store door! Friday night October Fest tried to break in. I had a large spaghetti squash ready for him. I believe the photos on the listing emphasized the water fall and back side of the property which really belonged to the caretaker downstairs. On line I saw a pool table which could into a large dining table. Neither of those remain. It was quiet and clean but l felt like we were soft opening trial without compensation. And the number given is for the whole complex and not for the individual cabin.
