About this property

Chimney Mtn 5 - Two Bedroom Cabin with Covered Hot Tub and Open Deck

Welcome to Chimney Mountain Cabins, just outside Helen GA north of Anna Ruby Falls on Unicoi Highway. Here are five unique, rustic and elegant, 2-bedroom cabins with fireplaces, perfect for that mountain getaway experience. Situated on the borders of the National Forest providing walking/hiking trails just outside your cabin that lead to Snake Branch Creek, a favorite for our guests, especially the pups. Select all 5 for that group gathering that easily accommodates over 23 guests* combined.

There are two fire pits at Chimney Mountain. One fire pit is in the center of the common area where the cabins are located. There's also a community game room by the fire pit that includes a pool table, foosball table and darts for our guests to enjoy. Each cabin also has rocking chairs and a gas BBQ grill on the covered front porch. Hot tubs are under cover, and perfectly situated at either the rear or side of the cabins.

There is also a common area that adjoins the cabins is the perfect gathering place for children and adults alike. Kids love the Mountaineer Gorilla Playset that includes a covered play platform, 2 swings, a trapeze swing, 2 slides, tic-tac-toe panel, rock wall with climbing rope, and built-in picnic table. And for the adults, there is a pavilion with outdoor ping/pong table, picnic table, and another beautiful fire pit for all to enjoy!

Chimney Mountain Road is a beautiful, winding gravel road that follows the base of the mountain, offering 4.5 miles of quiet, secluded mountain road.  With Chimney Mountain on one side, and McClure Creek on the other, it's perfect for biking, walking, or just taking in the beautiful views of Chimney Mountain.

Nice but small bathrooms
This was not a bad spot, but there are three issues that would make it a 5: 1. Upgrade bathrooms to a standard sized shower and toilet room. Shower stalls are VERY small and females have to be creative to get properly cleaned. 2. King bed was comfortable, but queen bed was not comfortable. Perhaps a plush cover would help? 3. GPS would not recognize the address, or the road suggested. Driving instructions are provided, but hard to manage if there isn't a non driving person to assist.

Dusty mess.
My husband and I rented this cabin for a weekend of relaxing and fishing. The positives for this cabin include location and hot tub but pretty much stop there for my husband and I. This cabin has been poorly maintained/kept. There was large amounts of dust and dirty throughout the property. It reminded me of staying in a cheap hotel without the cheap sticker price. Bed linens did not fit the bed, and we spent both nights trying to keep them on. Though non-smoking the property reeked of cigarette smoke both inside and outside, the trash can liner had cigarette butts in the liner on check in. Small features that were a point of excitement for renting the cabin did not work such as the fireplace. Bathrooms inside the property offer little to no privacy, not mentioned in the listing. Also parking is limited/tight also not mentioned in the listing.
