An absolutely stunning spot! Perfect for those with kids, so much to keep them busy. The cozy fire place was perfect for a winters night. Bonus points for the cheeky ponies that greeted us at the gate on arrival.
Even better than the online images this beautiful home on a secluded peaceful property was the perfect destination for my partner and I to escape the city and really unwind. The bed was sooo comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything from toys for the kids to a large book and DVD collection. 5 Stars..
We can't speak highly enough about our stay - the property and surrounding countryside was just spectacular! Natasha was most helpful also and all our queries were quickly answered. 5 stars - we highly recommend Talbot Lodge Farmhouse.
Amazing stay here at Talbot lodge farmhouse is a short trip to the heart of beautiful York which we timed with their annual easter antique fair. The Lodge was just beautiful well stocked and so peaceful this would be my favourite vacation spot in years.Watching the sheep and alpacas walk back in the evening off the verandah was beautiful and so well stocked with games and toys for a young family. Very clean. Host Natasha was beautiful too and on hand with our city question. Loved it we will be back
Wonderful property - plenty of space and cosy features, outdoor and inside fires, high spec bathroom and kitchen with plenty of utensils, nespresso pod machine, heaps of board games, an outdoor playarea with monkey bars, swing and trampoline and of course the animals! 2 toilets which was useful for a large group. Note, the living room does not have curtains so bring an eye mask if using the sofa bed. King room had plenty of space for 2 double airbeds and queen space for a cot. Ideal place for young families. Would definitely book again.
We had a stellar time at the Talbot Farmhouse and it made for a lovely location for Christmas. The entire booking process with smooth and Natalie's communication made it all the more easier and we knew what to expect. The place is better than the photos. Large open spaces, fully stocked chef's kitchen with almost every utensil you need and the decor is functional but lovely. You can't be bored here either- the animals made great entertainment for the kids, there were copious amounts of boardgames, the grassed area is large and very well looked after and at night the stars are stunning. We would be more than happy to stay her again!
Newly renovated house on large, picturesque property
Had a great time with my partner and young daughter. The property is very large, though the house sits in a little pocket that is perfect for small families. The house is renovated and is very nice inside with a great kitchen. The only downside is that it's only two bedrooms, so that will limit who it could accommodate, but for a small group or one family it could be ideal.
The animals were very friendly and my 4yo loved interacting with them through the fence and feeding them.
We'll probably come back some time, perhaps when the canola is blooming, as the fields would look very pretty.
Extremely clean and confortable place.
Loved every single aspect of it. The kitchen is soo amazing. The place is super cosy, spacious, amazing alfresco, lots of kids activities. Will definitely go back.
