The house was perfect for our stay. Everything was clean, well equipped and the hot tub was an excellent touch. Walking distance to town and the gondola was great from an accessibility standpoint. Staff was responsive and kind, and even welcomed our two dogs with open arms. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

Awesome property in perfect location

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for a ski trip! The house is roomy, and the floorplan is great. The kitchen was well appointed and allowed several people to work together without getting in each other's way. Very enjoyable place to stay.

Breckenridge family gathering

We had a great time in this location. Plenty of space for all 11 of us. Loved that the gondola was right out the back door. The shops were great to see. Kitchen was stocked well for cooking in.

Family ski trip

We had an amazing stay at this property! It’s set up really well for a big family to stay. We had 3 adult couples all had king size beds and bathrooms. We also had 5 kids from 8-16 with plenty of room for everything and they loved the arcade game. The location couldn’t have been better being right next to the gondola.

The Perfect Spot

This is the perfect location: right next to Main St., the river, and the Peak 8 gondola. The lodge is in great shape on the inside, and it includes a few surprises, which can't be identified in the listing, the most enjoyable of which is an outside table and chairs right on the river bank. We will definitely be coming back again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Updated, great location and clean rental. Pet friendly (which is always what we look for). The only thing I did not realize was is that the rental is basically split into 2 rentals...not a stand alone unit, which could be a problem if you have barking dogs or a big group. We normally look for stand alone homes when we go on vacation due to our dogs, so I guess I missed in the description that this rental was a "lodge" and a "chalet" which seemed to have a full timer living in it.

The property was very clean when we arrived. The only problem was the hot tub was not heating well. I notified the management company and they sent someone to evaluate the problem. I would stay here again.

Great location, house needs updating

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of The River House Lodge is fantastic, right in the middle of everything! The home itself is in dire need of core updating. There was very little or no hot water in certain bathrooms, cold showers in winter aren’t fun. Some sort of “sump pump” alarm would sound at all hours of the day and the microwave oven didn’t work which made cooking in the house difficult.

Out family had an amazing adventure in Breckinridge. The rental was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed to make a home away from home for 6 adults and 3 kids. We did have to contact staff during out stay and they were immediately responsive.
