What we love
Mount Wilson is not like the rest of the Blue Mountains. You won't find hordes of tourists descending from tour buses here, nor shops selling knickknacks. In fact, there aren't any shops or cafes. This hamlet is a dignified throwback to a forgotten age, where you can wander the streets admiring beautiful gardens under the dappled shade of deciduous trees. There aren't many places like this left in Australia (or indeed the world), which makes it perfect for a refined and private getaway.

Tollimount Cottage is wonderful as a family escape: big enough for everyone to have their own space, but not so big you won't see each other.
