About this property

Enjoy this wonderful quaint cottage located a short drive to Minden, which has all the needed amenities close by.

QuailsNest is wonderful for families. This 3 bedroom cottage sleeps 8, has 1 bath with a shower, with an excellent view of spectacular sunsets.
Main bedroom has a queen size bed, with private sliding doors to the front deck, which is the perfect place to cozy in and watch the sunset.
The second bedroom has a double bed on the lower bunk and a single on the upper.
The third bedroom is equipped similar to the second bedroom, but has closet space.

Kitchen is well equipped with home like amenities, well stocked with cooking all the utensils/pots/pans needed. The breakfast bar is a great spot to for a few people to gather while others cook, or enjoy the 6 person dining table. Feel free to also enjoy meals on the deck where there is a 6 person patio set.

Cottage comes with several kids kayaks, and a paddle boat for your enjoyment.
There is a wonderful dock for those who want to bring your own boat, the public launch is close by. Or of course, feel free to sit in the Muskoka chairs or bring the lounge chairs over to bask in the sunshine.

Beautiful little cottage

This cottage was sweet and perfect for our stay. The lake was warm, very shallow and inviting. I was a bit surprised about the lack of privacy and nearness to the neighbours but it worked out fine for our family. I would definitely return. Thanks

Another Great Stay

This was our 2nd year at this property and we are already planning for next. We are a 3rd and 4th generation Horseshoe Lake cottage family and this cottage has given us the opportunity to continue our traditions after selling the family cottage across the lake. This cottage has everything you need to enjoy a week by the lake, outside has a great dock, sandy beach and amazing sunset views. Inside has everything you need to cook inside or out and the bathroom is stocked with your basic toiletries. This property is dog friendly and a 30ft leash was the perfect size to keep our dog on the propery with enough space to roam and respect the dogs next door. Added bonus this week was taking our mother and grandma (the 2nd generation cottager) up for the week. At 78 and with limited mobility this property was easy for her to get around inside and outside. Front deck is nicely shaded most of the day. Great stay and cant wait for next year

Cute and beautiful bungalow that really feels like home. Attentive and professional hosts. Fully equipped kitchen with every amenity we could need - we brought some kitchen things and cleaning products and bathroom essentials but the host actually provides all these things so you don't have to pack as much/if you forgot something they likely have it. Furniture is on the soft side if that matters to you (individual preference), shower is a little tight if you're a larger person. Overall a very nice vacation. 10/10 would rent again.

Great Cottage in Minden

We spent 3 nights at this great cottage. It was incredibly clean, fully stocked and close to town. Waking up, looking out at the lake was a treat. Quiet area, which is what we were looking for. Communication with the owners was good, making the check in process a breeze.

Eric and Nikki have a family with two boys and a goldendoodle. Their family grew up on this lake, and they are the 3rd and now 4th generation to enjoy Horseshoe Lake.

Why they chose this property

Close to Grandma and Grandpa, this property allows for us to have dedicated space while still spending the warm summer days with the family.

Great Grandma bought property on the lake and Great Grandpa built the original family cottage, which has been modernized over the years. So many amazing family memories were made on this lake, it only felt right to keep them going with a place of our own.
