'Nest Up - Above the Hawkesbury' is your ideal riverside getaway with 180 degree water views down Hawkesbury River. Accommodation for up to 5. Pet friendly and children welcome. Walk across the road and take the steps down to our private picnic area, jetty, and wharf. Climb upstairs for an uninterrupted river view balcony and BBQ facilities. Fully equipped open plan living with two comfortable bedrooms. Minutes away from Brooklyn, the M1, and 45mins to Sydney CBD.

There is a spiral staircase at the back of the cottage which allows access to the top of the balcony where there is a BBQ area with an amazing view. Please take care as the staircase is quite steep and might not be suitable for very young children and the elderly.

Great cottage stay

Nice cottage to stay at and unwind. We caught a nice size flathead off the jetty and the picnic area was perfect for lazy afternoons. Wish we had brought a picnic blanket.

tranquil, cosy and relaxing

Berry's cottage is a little gem of a place. We were there for two months and found the place a nice refuge from the hustle and bustle. Unfortunately, being a winter stay we could not fully enjoy the amenities as there is not a lot of sunshine to be had and the place is difficult to keep warm at times. Views are stunning as well as calming and peaceful. Berry is a very attentive host and was always on hand to help us out where needed. The place could be a little cleaner and you need to get used to the bathroom as it is very tight. Kitchen could do with a few upgrades also. The place is great for short term, however, longer stays are a bit harder due to some lack of space.

Over 30 years ago, during our first trip to Australia, we travelled from Sydney to Gold Coast in a campervan. The breathtaking view of Hawkesbury River from Pacific motorway made us stop at the parking area at the Mooney Mooney exit. The memory of its magnificence stayed with us, and over the years, we settled in Sydney, raised our children here, and always dreamed of owning a property in this area. Now, that dream has come true, and we're thrilled to share our place with you. We want you to experience the beauty of this place and feel like you're a world away from your daily life, even though it's only a short drive from Sydney's metropolitan area.

If you have a boat, feel free to bring it along and park it at our private jetty (suitable for small boats and at high tide) or launch it at the nearby Deerunbun Reserve.
