Do Not Let the VRBO pics fool you!!
***PSA*** PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF TIME, ENERGY, & MENTAL/EMOTIONAL DISTRESS BY NOT BOOKING THIS PROPERTY. The pictures that are reflected online (Google, VRBO, etc.) ARE neither accurate nor current. There were so many isssues with this property that we experienced, to the point of me having to take further action with VRBO to initiate an investigation on the fraudulent act (catfishing) & violation/breach of contract, specifically regarding the cleanliness, appearance, and most importantly SAFETY that is presented from Tropical Escapes to VRBO. Please see below, and thank me later for saving you money and a horrible experience:
SAFETY:
1. Pool gate broken - They did come out to out a bandaid on the broken gate, but it still remains broken to date. They just told us not to enter the pool “in that area”.
2. Broken Iron/Metal bars from the non-existing patio chairs (as seen on the catfish pics) loosely left on patio
2a. DEAD FROGS/LIZARDS: We found several dead frogs and lizards within the patio and around the pool.
CLEANLINESS:
3. Infestation of Roaches - We killed hundreds of baby roaches in the kitchen, specifically around and INSIDE the dishwasher. The infestation was so bad that we had to buy a Raid defogger in an attempt to quickly get rid of the roaches. This did not work, as we still were killing roaches throughout our entire stay.
4. GARBAGE DISPOSAL - The garbage disposal reeked with an unpleasant smell of spoiled meat, only for us to actually find spoiled meat in the garbage disposal.
5. HAIR - In the MB upstairs, hair in the shower and the bed linen on the beds.
APPEARANCE (completely different from what’s listed on VRBO):
6. WEEDS - Clearly, the pool area was unkept. Not only were there dead reptiles surrounding the area, but there were also overgrown weeds, some of which we almost tripped over.
7. BURNT SMOKE ON WALLS: Apparently the tenants prior to us must have attempted to use lighter fluid, which was STILL LEFT ON THE GRILL, for gas bbq grill.
8. STAINS: There were blood, coffee, dirt, and God knows what other filth that was on the sofas.
9. Patio Chairs - Rather lack thereof.
APPLIANCES NOT WORKING:
10. FREEZER - Didn’t work. Food & Ice melted during entire stay. Reported & not fixed.
11. MICROWAVE - Did not work…AT ALL.
12. POOL LIGHTS - Didn’t work.
13. BTHRM SINK STOPPED UP - Did not fix.
14. KIDS BTHRM TOIKET - BROKEN
15. RATS & SNAKES - A huge snake almost crawled thru front door on porch.
