Nice place for a golf crew

As six grown men, everything about this place was pretty awesome. The only drawback would be the pool and hot tub are an extra fee to have heated and being it was February the pool was pretty cold and unusable. Other than that, everything about the place is awesome.

Nightmare Vacation rental

Upon entering the home the smell of gas was so bad the fire dept had to be called and they found a gas leak at the dryer. The bed linen was as unclean, I had to spend money to buy bed sheets for the beds and pillow protectors. The mattress looked really old with stains. The home only had 6 bath towels and 4 wash cloths. We had no way of drying clothes. We found roaches in the home. The property management only responded to my calls/messages after I informed them that I had called 911.No vacuum in the home. The property is very poorly maintained and I would not recommend for any humans to occupy. I requested a refund but no response from the property management or owner. The stay there was very stressful.

The House was ok. The couldn’t enjoy the game room since the pool stick was broke and the other game table was broke. The carpet needs to be pulled up and removed it was dirty. The towels that we were given was old . The walls were all scratched up. There is no cellphone service in the house at all. We had to go outside to make/take a call or a text. The pool was green when we arrived I reported it and they did send someone to clean it right way. I feel they just need to do a little upgrade to make it look like the pictures. But the over all stay was good we enjoyed staying together instead of staying in a hotel

Diisappointed

My family was very disappointed with this rental property. Upon arrival, we discovered many broken, torn and stained items throughout the house and by the pool. It was not what we were wishing for in our vacation. Every time I called the property manager, it went to the answering machine. Throughout the week, I called, texted and emailed. Very frustrating when you cannot locate help. The list of issues includes: stained mattresses, scruffier walls and holes in a few walls, poor drainage with numerous showers, ripped bbq cover, several ripped screen areas near pool, patio door screen not working, broken chair by pool, no mattress covers, no face cloths, no beach towels, few drinking glasses, shaggy rug, no heat in pool or hot tub all week after numerous, numerous messages, calls and texts, broken screen door handle outside, no extra blankets, ripped couch, etc…

Worst Vacation Ever

What should have been a great time, was ruined by multiple issues. Let me start by saying that the owners of the home didnt pay the gas bill, so the gas was disconnected, and locked at the meter for 3 days of our stay. I called the office many times to get this resolved, and to no avail. When they did reply, they said it was due to construction, which was a lie. When the gas man came to finally reconnect, he confirmed it was disconnected for none payment. The airconditioner was extremely dirty, the filter was clogged and knocked back into the return vent. When I spoke with the office regarding this, they issued a 120.00 credit on the pool charge that we paid for heating. This issue was never resolved. The outdoor furniture is extremely rusted, some legs on chairs are rusted half off, making them sit with one side lower than the rest. The house needs some painting, and overall upkeep. Imagine spending 3 days of your 10 day vacation without being able to cook, dry clothing (gas dryer), or TAKE A SHOWER! The office offered NO compensation for this at all.

Good House

Great house layout, great location and property. It was difficult to get a response. Had booked a couple months in advance and had asked many questions and most of them did not get answered until it was a week before our booked dates. Was disappointing to arrive with the Hot Tub completely green and took the first week to get someone in to clean it and get it working. And during that time before it was cleaned it became worse and looked as if there was green foam in it. Some sections of the couch were torn and poorly covered with a blanket. There was a strange pool of clear, somewhat slimy liquid in the garage by the pool table. And a large stain on the ceiling that was believed to be the cause. Found many cockroaches the first few days and during our last few days. House was sprayed during our stay but it did not work. We checked everything and every room and we had some days of no cockroaches. And finally the second last night of our stay, all televisions in the house would not work, there was a message saying that something had to be re-connected and to call the service provider and the wifi was shut off. We were not in the house during the day but to relax during the night to watch T.V. was nice to do. But while we were there it was quiet and the gate staff were very friendly as were the Clubhouse staff. Would possibly book with again but would like better communication and more recent/honest pictures of the house.

I only give a total overall rating of 2.5 stars. Considering it is a rental unit, the house was in good condition. Some dings and dents in the wall, and most of the down stairs could have used a fresh coat of paint, not bad. It is the little things that can make or break a stay. A lot of little things not done right. First the good points. 1. I talked with Susan in the office a number times. She was great. Patient, and got things done. 2. Were quick to respond to my email questions and issues. Specifically getting a pool guy to service the pool, when it was green with algae. Now the bad. 1. Rental can accommodate 14 people. We had 12 people. Not enough shower towels for our group. We had to go out and buy extra towels so everyone had a towel when we showered. 2. No kitchen towels. Nothing, not even sponges. Again we had to go out and buy some kitchen towels. 3. When you open the refrigerator door, it would slam into the counter. C,mon, level the refrigerator. 4. After 3-4 days, the pool was full of Algae. Couldn't swim in the pool. Wasn't the pool serviced before we got there??? To their credit once, I contacted the office, pool man there within the hour. 5. We had 4 cars to park. Drive way would only accommodate 3 cars. Street parking had designated spots, and there were zero spots by our house. The forth car had to park 3-4 blocks away! Why not designated spots in front of our house??? Tow trucks were out and towing vehicles away. 6. There were only 8 glasses to use in the kitchen. With twelve people, we had to go out and buy solo cups. 7. Unit advertised a hot tub. But since the pool and hot tub are on the same pumps and filtering system, the hot tub NEVER GOT HOT. Only as hot as the pool heater was set. If you can't get the hot tub to at least 100 degree's, don't advertise a hot tub. As the days went on, our moto was, "Don't complain, adapt". Being with family was the most important thing, and we enjoyed our time together. Although, not having to deal with all the little negatives I listed above would have our stay much better. Fix the little things! Don't be cheap!

Not quite as advertised

Resort amenities are not included as advertised, you must pay extra. The carpets were unclean, broken lights, bugs throughout the home. Just overall not as clean as expected. Would not book again.

Needs to be deep cleaned. Roaches present in the kitchen..sink in kitchen backed up..stood in water every time we showered..no pool skimmer..screen door broken..all tv remotes batteries dead..tv difficult to work/some not connected to anything..overall nice home but definitely needs to be cleaned better

Gave it a shot / fair for the price

I hadn’t looked at the reviews before we booked this and when I saw the other ones I was a bit afraid. Fast forward to our stay and it was fine. The property doesn’t match the pictures, however we’ve stayed in Solterra before so we knew what the design was. We were in town for the dance competition and have many people staying around this area. This house is not as nice as the others but it’s definitely cheaper. The house is…well used… to be polite. It’s not horrible for the price, but everything in the house shows wear. The couches are peeling, the cabinets are peeling, the fridge has issues, the beds and rooms are just…. Used. The pool was okay, needs cleaned better but was usable. The patio needs a good power washing. We did see two bugs - roaches - but I contacted the management and they had someone out to spray right away. After that we didn’t see any. My family lives in Florida and these types of sightings are fairly normal - but after the reviews we wanted to have more piece of mind which the spraying gave us. The check in and check out process was simple. Management company contacted me right away. I wish the Solterra clubhouse pool was included with the stay. Pool heat seemed expensive, and the use of the grill was outrageous($85) I really feel the 7/10 rating is fair for this - but also this is one of the cheaper listings I’ve seen for this large of house. I guess you get what you pay for.

Beware

The pictures on VRBO do NOT match the condition of the property. The only fantastic thing was the pool and even that we had to clean garbage out of before we could swim. The couch was ripped and covered by a blanket. The laminate is peeling off the cabinets in the kitchen. The pool table and cues were broken and unusable as were all the darts. When you try to contact management they were impossible to get ahold of. You cannot turn the AC below 72 making it hard to be comfortable. The sheets on the beds and pillows all had stains on them. It was sad the condition the house is in. The location is fantastic, but we won’t come back to this resort again, due to inaccurate description of the house.
