Everything was amazing. The cabin was big and beautiful, well maintained, and very clean! The screen porch is great to have for the mornings and evenings. The lake is gorgeous and we had a great time kayaking, swimming, and fishing each day. The cabin is close to all the areas we wanted see and the things we wanted to do - hikes, picnics, little towns, ice cream (!), etc. We would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in the Adirondack region!

June week on Silver Lake

Great week. A few days of rain, but we were very comfortable indoors. Space for the kids to play downstairs and in the loft. We paddled and swam in the lake. Hiked and biked nearby. Thanks for hosting our family get together.

Beautiful, fully equipped lake house.

The lake house was perfect for our 6 person plus one baby group!The lake is pristine. There are not many homes on Silver Lake which is a nice feature. There are homes adjacent to the property but we were unable to see and barely hear people in them.The house itself is very new and was very comfortable and spacious.

Relaxing remote getaway

The house was just the right size for our family - 6 adults and 1 child (aged 8). The property is very remote but if you plan your meals well, it works out just fine. Most of our time was spent on the upper deck lounging, in the water, or relaxing in the living /dining area with dinner in the garden. The hosts were very responsive and generous with answers to questions. A perfect week-long getaway. If there is any complaint it is that the mattresses in the upstairs bedrooms were too soft.

Exceptional!

My family and I have stayed in many rentals over the years and by far this one was the best. A mile in on a well maintained camp road, so nicely secluded. No cell service but quality WI FI. The house was so well built and nicely laid out, a pantry with space for our dry goods, well stocked with cleaning supplies and paper products. Quality dinnerware, utensils. The bedding all comfortable and new, plenty of towels and lake towels. Really nice kayaks and a John boat, new life jackets and a dock to make getting into the lake easy. 2 fire pits and plenty of firewood on site. The lake is clear and beautiful, the camp faces west so sunsets are glorious. We were there in 90 heat with no AC, but if you work the shades and fans it’s fine, and if you’re hot jump in the lake! And the basement stayed cool. We hiked the trails, fished the lakes and just enjoyed the area, thank you to our hosts for sharing this little piece of heaven.

Perfect place on an ADK lake!

We and our friends (4 adults and 4 teens) had a wonderful 10 days on Silver Lake. The house is super comfy, and we spent a lot of time in the living room and on the porch overlooking the lake. There was some motorboat traffic on the lake, especially on the weekend, but it was generally quite quiet and the loons serenaded us each evening. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had everything we needed to make most of our meals. Owner was easy to communicate with, no problems at all with check-in. Only way to improve the place would be with a gas grill and a foosball table (but that's just us). Loved it. We hope to be back!

PERFECT for an ADK Elopement with the family!

What a beautiful home, perfect for an extended family! We needed a large home in the ADKs that was safe and accessible for our disabled family member. While not advertised as a handicapped accessible home (no grab bars in bath rooms, 4 stairs into the house as advertised), it boasts large rooms, a roll up/2 inch step-in shower, and had roll out access to a large deck and screened in porch for our loved one who uses a walker. Thank you, we appreciate those features so much! It is hard to find a safe, clean, WELL-LIT place for someone with a visual impairment who uses walkers/canes. The home was *spotless* and very well appointed. There was a wonderful array of area maps, books, sporting equipment, etc. for us to use if needed. There were other thoughtful touches throughout (like a drying rack and W/D on site). Be sure to look for original artwork painted by the host family! We were able to move right in and enjoy a family vacation together without a single care. This gem is close to hiking trails and White Face Mountain where our "happy couple" got married during this vacation. The house offered privacy and space where we could spread out to get ready before running to the mountain top to celebrate. Of note, we ran into one minor problem and needed to contact our host. The owner was wonderfully responsive and worked with us to ensure our needs were met and to ensure that issues were resolved before the next guests arrived - 10/10 for her assistance! We would love to come back again when the access to the water is further built out (we know it is a work in progress presently). It's beautiful at the lake - so quiet with clear blue water - just perfect to recharge one's heart and soul. We would highly recommend this host and this listing. It's a spot of Heaven in the ADKs!

Ultimate Adirondack Getaway

This is a stunning, spotless, and well-appointed lakeside house. Although other houses are nearby, you have a sense of seclusion. We enjoyed sunset views from the dock and expansive deck. We also enjoyed two lovely nearby hiking trails — to Silver Lake Mountain and Silver Lake bog — and paddling on the lake with the kayaks provided. The owner was accessible and informative.
