Experience the serenity of 'Harmony Cottage' nestled by grazing horses and tranquil gardens. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the country, at this charming retreat. Harmony Cottage is close to Mornington Peninsulas' famous beaches & wineries.

Set on 10 picturesque acres, guests can participate in enriching activities like meeting our rescued horses.

There are countless romantic award-wining wineries & restaurants to enjoy. There are stunning natural coastal walks and features in the area also.

Harmony Cottage @Wilindi Estate is a studio cottage, with its own private, fenced garden. Interiors have been curated with an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique farm furnishings. The cosy living area with garden views includes a well equipped kitchenette.

The pièce de résistance is the views of grazing horses, so close you can touch them. The garden also offers an outdoor barbecue and beautiful sunsets all year round.

Herd Harmony equine rescue operates from Wilindi Estate, your booking fees go toward the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected, abused and abandoned horses.....my herd says thank you for your support.

FUN FARM TOUR
Get close and personal with our rescue farm animals, you will be able to;
* Meet our horses & hear their rescue stories
* Meet or newest residents Wilbur the PIG & Tim and Tam our goats
* Groom a pony & learn about their care
* Lead Bunny & Valentine, our adorable mini ponies, through an obstacle course
* Collect our chickens eggs (and keep them!)

For a small donation to Herd Harmony Equine Rescue, you and your children will share unforgettable memories.

COOKING FACILITIES
Due to council restriction we do not have built-in cooking facilities, but we do have alternatives for any meal you are planning to cook!

• Induction Electric hob

The shared pool is such a special place and is solar heated all-year-round. If the outside temperature is below 25 or there hasn't been allot of sun, solar heating is usually not enough for a comfortable swim. We can use the electrical heating and the additional charge is $30 per day to guarantee a heated pool from 26-32 degrees. If this sounds like something you'd like, please book at least 7 days in advance as the heating will de turned on 48 hours before your arrival.

Tyabb is famous for its antique stores and the friendly disposition of its residents! We have a train station, a licensed IGA Supermarket, pharmacy and beauty salons.

Mornington Peninsula is famous for its countless pristine beaches, wineries, fine food and golf courses.

Additionally there are multiple family activities including adventure parks, petting zoo, bush walks, dolphin experiences...... just to name a few!

Enjoy our world class restaurants and have a romantic meal or cellar door experience in one of Mornington Peninsulas famous wineries.

Alternatively, stay on the farm where you and your children can participate in an enriching activity like meeting our rescued horses, which can be groomed and fed. Equine trust training can be viewed and booked by appointment on the property with @ Herd Harmony & Wilindi Estate.

WEDDING PARTIES, PHOTOGRAPHY, EXTRA VISITORS:

We enjoy hosting brides-to-be and love the photos that are taken, but there are some things to note;

• Use of our property for wedding photos or any photo shoots costs $150 for up to 2 hours

• There are a maximum of 10 additional visitors allowed including photographer, hair/makeup, videographer

• Guests names and vehicle license plates must be registered with Wilindi Estate owner via email

• There are 3 additional cars allowed on the property only

• Extra guests must ask permission to use the facilities including, but not limited to, pool, play equipment, barn

• Extra guests are not allowed to interact with the animals

• The booked guest is responsible for their additional guests and will be responsible for any damage caused.

• Extra rubbish generated (wrapping paper/boxes) must be removed from the property by the booked guest

What a beautiful few days we had on the farm. Mim is a wonderful host, providing a lovely space to relax on her gorgeous property. Super Relaxing

We love this place so much, Miriam was a wonderful host and her farm tour was informative, our daughter loved it. We are glad the funds help go towards these beautiful rescued horses, that Miriam is so passionate about. a refreshing getaway,being greated by the horses in the mornings were a highlight. we ended not really going anywhere else because it was so relaxing. The place is clean and modern. Cant wait to go again. Highly reccommend, perfect for families.

Our stay in Tyabb for my husbands birthday

The property is very clean and very similar to the pictures. We had a great stay and Miriam was a great host. There was a heated pool that we enjoyed swimming in and on our last night there, we lit a fire and sat by the fire. Miriam was super accommodative and tried her best to make our stay pleasant. It was lovely to see the farm animals as well and it was a great stay which was different. It was my husbands birthday and upon request, the cottage was decorated nicely. Thank you for a pleasant stay, will recommend this place for sure! 😊

This property was amazing. Located on a beautiful farm who rescue horses. Very clean and tidy. Heated pool, fire pit, tour of the farm to meet the horses. Miriam the owner is very passionate about what she does. I highly recommend you stay here.

What a magical and healing place!

The second you arrive at Willindi you know you are somewhere very special. Harmony Cottage is a pristinely clean and luxurious little cottage in the centre of a glorious farm, the likes of which I’ve only ever experienced in the south of France. The entire place is landscaped with hedges of roses and lavender, the animals are beautiful & friendly and the heated pool is amazing. Miriam, the host, is an absolute delight and a gracious host, she showed me around the farm and let me meet all the animals she has rescued. I feel so privileged to have stayed here and experienced such a life-affirming stay. I will return.

Wonderful peaceful property

I had wonderful stay in the harmony cottage right on the edge of the the horse paddock. A lovely peaceful place to stay. Beautifully maintained, clean and modern. Miriam was delightful and the farm tour was a highlight and learning about the property and rescue horse was fascinating. Highly recommend staying for a quiet getaway we will return.

Cute, Cosey and homely

Such an amazing little get away, the property was A-MAZING, the hosts were so friendly and helped with recommendations for local food and offered a tour of the farm. So cosey and clean, easy check in process. My favourite part of this little home is waking up in the morning, opening the curtains and watching the horses having some breakfast.

We stayed here the night of our wedding and loved it so beautiful, very relaxing, and very good communication. The only thing which wasn’t amazing was we couldn’t get food out to the cottage and there wasn’t food for us to buy at the cottage either. We were starving as we forgot to eat at the wedding but we had to stick it out till the next day. Overall very good stay…. pack snacks though 😂

Relaxing holiday!

We had a great holiday at Miriam's place in Tyabb and loved visiting the horses in the evening! The accomodation is clean, modern and comfortable and the grounds and pool very well maintained. Miriam was available for anything we needed and a great host. We hope to stay again !

Perfection start to finish! The property is as picturesque in person as it is in the listing - if not more so. Miriam was wonderfully accomodating and accessible throughout our stay. A horses and Hamptons delight

As the hardwood gates opened to welcome us into the manicured gardens and peaceful energy of this picturesque property, we were thrilled with our choice to book Wilindi estate. Only three brand new Hampton-style cottages are located on the grounds, yet all are positioned away from each other to ensure privacy and quiet; the only sounds were that of the kookaburras laughing, horses snuffling at our window and chooks clucking ‘Good Morning’ at our door.😊 The kids were invited to gather freshly laid eggs with the lovely Miriam, who’s kind hospitality made us feel relaxed immediately, and later to join her on a farm tour to meet the horses she has rescued and is nursing back to good health with the help of her veterinary team. With a stunning and secure solar-heated pool for afternoon dips, Wilindi Estate is a gorgeous choice for a romantic escape or family getaway. Accommodation bookings aid to fund the vet care of the horse rescue clinic, Herd Harmony, and guests can get amongst it in a fun, safe and wholesome farm life experience. Thank you Miriam for all you’re doing, and for the little things you did for us that has given us some big beautiful memories.

Registered nationally, with the Australian Not-for-profit and Charity Commission, Herd Harmony operates from Wilindi Estate at Tyabb on the Mornington Peninsula. At this location, Miriam continues to work with animals and children, providing a unique education and experience for her guests and their families.

Miriam has successfully rescued horses from the slaughter pipeline and others who have been abandoned. A team of qualified equine vets, dentists and farriers provide integral support in nurturing each horse back to full health. Once well, the horse can be then be behaviourally assessed, trained and eventually, re-homed.
