Really enjoyed the place. Super easy check-in, place was clean and enjoyed the location. Was a 15 min walk to old Quebec but really enjoyed the area around. Have zero complaints and would look to stay here again on return to Quebec City.
Easy walk to old Quebec, Plains of Abraham. We had the experience of being locals and felt at home in our neighborhood. A bit pricy for the units, e,g. bedding, towels, tp, etc but safe and homey.
We enjoyed staying in this flat as it allowed us to explore Quebec on foot and provided easy access to local cafes and restaurants. The flat itself is fairly basic but there's everything that you need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay in the city.
Overall, we had a great stay! As stated in another review the property is actually two apartments. It worked out perfect for us. Host was responsive, property was clean and easy to access. Great location and easy to find, plenty of parking within a 5–10-minute walk.
This was a fantastic location! Everything within walking distance, including Old Quebec. Yan, the proprietor, was very responsive to any inquiries. The four star for accuracy of listing is because it's actually actually two apartments, one down-one up.
Good location, older apartment, close to Old Quebec
We chose these apartments (first and second floor as mentioned in other reviews) because we wanted to tour Old Quebec and be close enough to walk. The apartments are older (as are probably all properties in the area) but clean and had what we needed to cook a few meals. Lower unit has a small kitchen, not much of a sitting area. We mostly hung out in the upper unit as it had a better living room space. Location was good, easy access to St Jean street (lots of restaurants/shops) and Old Quebec. Lower Old Quebec was probably a 35-45 min walk whereas the Chateau Frontenac about 30min.Parking a little tough because of all the street construction, free street parking for part of the day but only 1hr parking the other park so we ended up using the "Banque Nationale" parking garage ($16/day CAD) on Cremazie street. Window AC in most of the rooms. Felt safe in this residential area.
We didn’t actually stay at the property but had booked it. We thought we had booked a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment but it was actually 2 apartments. To say the description was inaccurate would be kind. The apartments where filthy and unsafe. The fire alarm was disconnected and there were holes in the walls and ceiling. We phoned VRBO to complain and told them we were not going to stay and wanted our money back or them to rehouse us. (That’s another story) any way as I was on the phone to VRBO the host came in and asked us to leave (pretty aggressively) which we did. If I could give this property zero stars I would, I would recommend you choose anywhere else.
