The location was exactly what we needed for time away with our dogs and the urban life. The host and every human and canine on the property were friendly and welcoming.
Great getaway location. Clean and comfortable. Yes the stairs are steep inside to go to the top floor, but you have the option of stairs outside. Hot tub in perfect working order. Plenty of chairs to be comfortable on either level outside. Pleasant walk across the road, through the farm, and to the stream. Seating both open and covered, with bbq option at the stream. Friendly dog walked me there. :) Shower toiletries provided. Fresh farm eggs in the fridge and a robe for the hot tub were a very nice touch. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Had no issues.
A great place to unwind and unplug from normal life!!! The container tiny home was cozy and clean!!!! The best part was definitely the hot tub overlooking a nice view…
gorgeous place, super friendly hosts, incredible peace and quiet and scenery. But, the stairs on the inside to go upstairs are very difficult to use. the exterior stairs to the deck and upstairs are fine. I highly recommend this place and will gladly use it again. If you go, do not miss the seeing the picnic area by the creek. THANKS TO OWNERS AND HOSTS - YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!

Great getaway!
This was a great getaway! Ann & David were great hosts & very attentive! Their farm is awesome & the creek was great for my dogs as well! Had farm fresh eggs in the frig. Nature, relaxation & exploration at its best! Want to visit again!
The property is amazing on a working farm. My dogs loved the open space and the visits from Frisco, the loving pup on the farm. The owners were wonderful, even providing a dozen of fresh eggs. Their field of sunflowers was in full bloom, it was my zen.
We had an amazing stay at this charming container home! Despite its small size, it was thoughtfully designed and incredibly cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped and even came with fresh eggs from the owners' chickens—such a lovely touch. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location by the river was stunning and provided a beautiful, tranquil setting. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a peaceful, unique getaway!
Very unique property! Very cozy. The upper deck is the best part of the property, with beautiful panoramic view of the farm. Lovely, sweet dogs will come and greet you and hang out. Our dog loved meeting them! The host promptly responds to anything you need. They also don’t charge extra for having your pet, like most places do. The ladder to the upper bedroom is very steep so it’s kind of hard to carry a small suitcase up there. But there’s access to that room from outside as well so it’s easier to go up that way. If you want a peaceful place to stay that is unique, quaint and cozy, this is it.
Learn about organic elderberry farming and products.
The best part of this location is that it's on the biggest organic elderberry farm in America. Elder Farm employees and owner David Buehler are so knowledgeable. David is one of the main spearheads for American elderberry. Great products! Tour the farm. Learn what equipment is needed. Discuss health research. You might decide to become an elderberry producer.ps We stayed here 3 years ago (before they got the hot tub). It was chilly but the hot tub proved sooo relaxing!

Wonderful retreat!
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Elder Farm. The container house is unique, welcoming and perfectly appointed. We got lucky with spring like temps at the end of December and were able to take walks each day on the farm and sit by the river, it was relaxing and so peaceful. We loved sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and enjoyed the view. At night we soaked in the hot tub and did some star gazing. I was able to cook nice meals easily in the well appointed kitchen. If you were to have a problem or a simple question the host are readily available, friendly and hospitable. We definitely plan on returning this year.

Unique stay!!
We found the container house to be a fun stay for our family of 4. It was a little snug- for our two teens but we had a good time. The deck upstairs was fun and the view were great. River was a fun to play in!
Owners were responsive to the couple of hiccups we had and did their best to fix it for us.
