Not a fan

While this place was close to town and the beach it is one I would not stay at again. The unit is extremely outdated and somewhat neglected. The beds are in very poor shape with no support and desperately in need of replacement. This is true of all the beds. The showers don’t give a constant temperature so you might even end up with a cold shower. In both bathrooms I suspect there to be organic growth or mold. The unit was hot (July rental) and the sliding doors are extremely difficult to open and close. There was only one box fan but it wasn’t enough to cool the home. The bedrooms were all on the first floor and the kitchen & living room upstairs. It wouldn’t have bothered me but the stairs were narrow, steep and the tread on the stair wouldn’t accommodate but maybe half of a foot so because of this I wouldn’t let my 70 year old mother go up the stairs for fear of her falling. The kitchen was operable but the butcher block of knives was extremely dangerous. The blades of the knives would not allow the knives to go all the way in which I feel like should be addressed. There was a bathroom light that didn’t have a cover on it and the porch light didn’t work which made it rough to navigate the stairs & the lock. Overall, this home needs and update of the unit itself and the content. If you have small children also know the walls are so thin. We could hear our neighbors on both sides.

Nice place, great location

Nice but a little older. No basic cable or DVR, but has Netflix. Heater works great downstairs, but a little cool upstairs. You do hear highway 89 as it's right by the bedrooms. Would stay again.o

Clean, comfortable, safe

Clean, comfortable, safe. Vacasa management staff were very helpful when we needed late check out because of a snow storm. Only complaint was heating: it was so very hot downstairs in the bedrooms and stayed rather cool in the upstairs kitchen/living area. But was very comfortable place overall.

Great place to stay, a few details off

We had a great time at your house over this weekend. We particularly enjoyed the common area and the hot tub However we noticed a few things that could be improved: - there was no gas left on the grill. Please fix this; - there was no light in the master bedroom (only in the bathroom). Please fix too; - we had trouble finding the spa and hot tub. We could not find any directions, and when we tried to call customer service, nobody answered; - we somewhat missed a big family pan in the kitchen. 2 small pans for 7 people was hard to manage. Despite those details, we had a great time overall. Thank you!

Ski weekend with teenagers

Mum, dad and three teenaged boys, here for a long-weekend skiing at Homewood. Plenty of room, plenty of bedlinens, warm, nice layout upstairs and practical sleeping configuration. Not sure why the TV was placed on a small table without access to a plug! We moved it into the main living room where it worked fine. Home is located with easy access to Tahoe City. We were snowed in on the last day, but the plough was there by 10am clearing out the parking lot! Had a great time in a warm and welcoming home.

Great location

Enjoyed our stay here. Easy check-in / check-out. Great location - convenient for Northstar. Everything was smooth except for the empty propane tank in the patio grill. Please refill the propane next time before renting! Guests will appreciate that.

Nice Condo

For the price of the condo, it was really nice! I loved that the living area was upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs. It is a little bit older you can tell, but the décor is new which gives it a little modern flare. Everything I needed to cook was available, the grill was great- even in the snow we bbq-ed our whole stay. The location was nice and quiet, even though the highway is really close you couldn’t hear it at all. However there isn’t much room for the kids to play outside, we had to drive to get somewhere to sled.
