Black Diamond - Luxury Alpine Home in Merrijig - Sleeps 14

This privately owned holiday home is located only minutes away from the Mount Buller & Mt Stirling entry gates. It features beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from every window.

This stylish architect designed four-bedroom home is ideal for multiple families or groups seeking active pursuits such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking or four-wheel driving, as well as those looking for a more relaxed place to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Victorian High Country.

This property has a large kitchen, dining, lounge upstairs with bifold glass doors that open up to a large deck with outdoor table and chairs and a BBQ for your use.

There is the master bedroom upstairs which has a King bed, walk in wardrobe, TV, wall heater and ensuite.

Downstairs has three bedrooms. In the first there is set sets of bunk beds with a mattress under each of the bunks that can be moved into any room. This room has door access to a bathroom that has a shower/bath and sink.

The next bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite with toilet and shower.

The last bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds with an ensuite that has a shower.

There is a toilet in the hallway downstairs and a living area with a TV and large couch.

Everything in this property is brand new - from the furniture to Smeg appliances and Adairs linen.

The house has high end soap, shampoo, condition and bodywash from al.ive body.

Pets are welcome however the property is not fully fenced.

perfect stay

We had a great time at Romy's place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Would absolutely recommend staying there for your Mt Buller ski trip with family and friends.

An amazing property perfectly located. We loved our stay and the amenities that the property had to offer. It was so clean and accommodating. The views are simply stunning in every direction. It was very private and the kids loved it.

Great location for the snow

We have a great stay at Black Diamond. The size of the house was perfect for us 4 families with young kids. Amazing view and we were welcomed by friendly kangaroos. We'd stay again. Highly recommended.

Love the property, we can see a lots of kangaroo and deer in the late afternoon and the view of the property is spectacular. The place is warm and cozy, really feel warm and welcome from host.

Amazing property with devine views in the morning with kangaroos to look at while having a cuppa

The property was very clean the photos don’t do this place justice it’s the perfect getaway.The drive to Mt Bulla was a dream too so close you didn’t even feel the drive which was a bonus with little toddlers. Would recommend to anyone thinking of staying somewhere local, quiet and close to the snow. So peaceful.

Thanks Romy. We enjoyed lots in our stay at your property. We could see a lots of kangaroos and few deers in the evening. Lovely birds came to balcony, the kids just loved it. It would be amazing to come back again.

Had an amazing stay over the week. Apart from being in the snow, we really look forward to coming back home to the Black diamond to enjoy family time together. Just a downside, there is only 1 hair dryer in the whole house and i did mention it to Romy who thanked me for the feedback and will be getting more. Overall, an amazing place to stay for the holiday, responsive and kind host. Will definitely come back.

Anzac Weekend

The house was amazing. But communication with the owner was very disappointing. The day before we were due to arrive, I never heard from the owner. I called, emailed and even had to call Stayz. She finally emailed me around 6.30pm. Her phone was broken but still hadn't emailed me. She said an automated email would be sent overnight with check in code. But she did give it to me with that email. We had asked for an early check in at 12 which was agreed with the owner. When we arrived at 12.30 the cleaner was still there and was told she wouldn't be finished until 3. She wasn't told about the early check in. We had rushed to get there early. A phone call would have been nice to let us know about the change of time. She just said"things were out of her control". But on a positive note the house was lovely and in a beautiful location.

Amazing house

I must admit that, I was a bit resistant to book this property as it didn’t have much reviews, but I’m glad that I did book it anyway! The black diamond property is amazing as its description and photos. A very comfortable, clean, well organized, warm and inviting home, with a great backyard and front balcony with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and lots of wild life that came to visit early morning and at dusk, perfectly located just minutes away from the Mt Buller gates. Romy is a great hostess, very responsive and just a phone call away if you need anything. I highly recommend this property and I’ll definitely book it for next year ski season.
