About this property

PET FRIENDLY COSY COTTAGE Farm Stay near Benalla

Located in the picturesque and highly sought after Warrenbayne District near Benalla, this beautiful solar powered farm stay offers a fully self contained 1 bedroom private cottage. Surrounded by stunning mountain views, wildlife, birds and less than 300 meters from the Strathbogie Ranges state park. We are located on a quiet no through road and surrounded by larger farms and wildlife, Warrenbayne Cottage is the ideal farm stay escape for peace, quiet and relaxation.

Warrenbayne Cottage is a privately set renovated one bedroom cottage. There are two separate entry gates and a huge linked driveway with plenty of parking for trailers and cars. The top gate next to the letterbox is the entry for the cottage. It is separate and private from the main farm house residence, which the owner resides in.

The top entry gate, located next to our miniature 'tin house' letterbox is the access gate for peaceful Warrenbayne Cottage. Usually I will leave this gate open for you. Just close it behind you if you have your dogs with you. Drive through this gate and follow the driveway around to the left, behind the big brick stables and you will see the cottage. Park where ever you like.

The house yard is fully fenced and dogs are welcome to enjoy a holiday with their humans, please note very small dogs can go under the farm gates. The bottom of the property has a large dam for dog swimming and playing, plus extensive bush trails for walking, mountain/motor biking or trail riding.

We have horses, cows, sheep and Reba the alpaca grazing on the property too. Reba absolutely loves little children and will come sit down next to the fence so the child can pat her. If you really would like to meet the sheep, cows, alpaca or horses, please let me know and I can put them in the paddock behind the cottage.

We are 300 meters from the Strathbogie Ranges which is renowned for hiking, trail riding, 4x4ing and peaceful exploring.
As we are on a no through road Warrenbayne Cottage is a very quiet and peaceful slice of paradise in Victoria's stunning north east. We are also eco-friendly using solar power and tank water.

For those keen to enjoy motorsport at Winton Raceway we have undercover parking for special vehicles, please mention this when you book in.
We are less than 30 minutes to Lake Nillacootie for fishing, and water skiing, plus were only an 1 hour from the mighty Murray River.
We are approximately 90 minutes from the ski fields via Mansfield.

As we are in a regional area, only phones on the Telstra network will work in the area. We provide free mobile wifi in the cottage.

** Please note we are 25 minutes from the closest supermarket in Benalla (Aldi, Woolies, Coles) It may be worthwhile to collect your supplies on the way to the cottage. Then you can relax when you get there and not have to go back out.
We always keep UHT milk in the fridge, plus extra pantry basic supplies.
There's an esky on the back porch, next to the 6 burner BBQ, the esky is shaped like an old fashioned rainwater tank. Please BYO bag of ice. The cottage fridge is full sized and has a freezer with ice blocks, but not enough to fill an esky.

Amazing country escape

We had a lovely stay here. The cottage is so cute and the surroundings are peaceful. The horses came over for a little pet. The alpaca was so pretty and curious and he always had a sheep following him. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Happy Humans & Canines

Had a lovely stay at Warrenbayne Cottage, and enjoyed exploring the surrounding region, including a couple of trips to the Winton Wetlands for some bird photography. Our four legged friends also enjoyed their stay, and appreciated their daily visit, and playtime, with one of the host's dogs. All in all a relaxing weekend away from the big smoke. Thank you, and we look forward to returning.

Great stay at Warrenbayne Cottage. Clean, cozy, and accommodating. Dogs loved the farm animals.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Warrenbayne Cottage and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, Mandy, the host, was incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. The cottage itself was well-maintained, clean, and had all the necessities we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of our trip was bringing along our two dogs, and they had a fantastic time at Warrenbayne Cottage. The property was surrounded by farm animals, and our furry friends thoroughly enjoyed watching them. It was a unique and entertaining experience for them, and it added an extra touch of charm to our stay. Personally, I found great joy in spending time with the friendly horse on the property. It was evident that the horse was well taken care of and had a gentle temperament. Patting and interacting with the horse became a cherished memory from my time at the cottage. The comfort of the cottage itself cannot be understated. The cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax and unwind. One of the standout features was the potbelly fire, which provided warmth during the cooler evenings. Curling up by the fire with a cup of tea or a good book was the epitome of coziness. Overall, my stay at Warrenbayne Cottage was a wonderful experience. Mandy's hospitality, the enjoyable presence of farm animals, the friendly horse, and the comfort of the cottage all contributed to a memorable and relaxing getaway. I highly recommend Warrenbayne Cottage to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a charming setting.

Very nice peaceful place away from town

Cabin was ideal for me to stay in with my dog. Away from town/people, room to move and breath some fresh air. Nice to sit on the back porch and take it all in. Accommodation was comfortable, clean, and more than adequate for our stopover. Are around the cabin was pretty much dog proof with very little passing traffic to be concerned about or hear. Only a short drive to Swanpool or Benalla for anything that is needed.

We left wishing we'd booked longer

Our stay at Warrenbayne Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Only 20mins out of Benalla, we were far enough away from town to feel quite serene, but with everything we needed at our fingertips. With a brilliant sized securely fenced block of land, our dogs had all the room in the world and two very friendly and tolerable Greyhounds to run around and enjoy themselves with. Mandy was an amazing host, we'll definitely be back again!!

Relaxing haven for people and dogs alike

We had a wonderful stay with Mandy who was so accommodating and generous. The amenities are excellent with a generous number of pantry staples. The cottage was a great size for the two of us with our big greyhound who loved being able to roam free and socialise with Mandy's beautiful greyhounds. It a very peaceful stay and we enjoyed saying hello to the horses and other farm animals.
