Enjoy fast wifi in the woods and work away from home, framing your meetings with biking, hiking, spa visits and vineyard tours. Ski all day and relax by our fire all night.

Quiet Forest Chalet

I stayed through most of September and October. The chalet is comfortable and modern, including decent WIFI connection. Excellent, attentive contact from the owner. The community is near Mount Orford so there are lots of relatively small rolling hills that are fun for bicycling and running. Lovely forest trails in the park (only 2 km away), including some very challenging MTB trails. For the less active, there is a quiet park with a small waterfall, pond and forested area about 300 m. down (literally) the curving road to the chalet. Magog is 7 km away and has an excellent selection of food stores. Probably restaurants and bars too - certainly there is an excellent variety of local microbrewery beer!

I am a mom of 2 boys aged 4 and 2. I live in Toronto but have been coming to Quebec since I was a kid to ski, and feel honoured to own a chalet near our beloved Mont Orford ski hill now - where I get to watch my kids learn to ski and love the winter in Canada! My husband studied engineering and I have my Masters in International Relations. Now I am a copywriter and yoga instructor :) Basecamp chalet is where we spend ALL of our vacation time, and we are happy to share it with others when we can't be here.

What makes this property unique

We searched far and wide for our 'perfect' Quebec chalet and when we stumbled upon this community in Cheribourg we were hooked. All of the homes here have orange roofs (its mandatory!) and the community is a series of forested winding roads (we are the VERY top!). Just five minutes from Mont Orford, and 10 minutes to Magog, its perfect. We love it so much we literally drive 7 hours with two kids to stay here 6 times a year :)
